oh boy...that's like watching something coming and knowing its going to wreak havoc. one picture i'd love to see is impact of his arm on ramsey's neck, from the side. just to see the shockwave that goes through ramsey. that'd be pretty sweet. good find though, cll
Sean, may you always rest in peace and look down on us with the same love that we look up to you.
Hail to the Redskins!
Hail to the Redskins!
My whole thing is this, look at that picture. He had no play on Ramsey prior to the ball being released unless he does something dirty. And he chooses to do the wrong thing, the league better fine him.
Whenever I start to get blue, I just breathe!
My favortie line from the Simpsons:
Flanders: "Looks like someone is having a pre-rapture party!"
Homer: "No Flanders, it's a meeting of gay witches for abortion , you wouldn't be interested!"

I don't think it was intentional as far as hurting him Niki, just seemed like an instinct.NikiH wrote:My whole thing is this, look at that picture. hailskins666 wrote::( this is the point i was trying to make in the 'stick a fork in ramsey' thread sunday. our line has plays that move the pocket. ramsey is a statue. brunell moves the pocket. it just seemed VERY VERY evident to me that ramsey was out of place trying to do what he was doing, early in the game. i like the kid a lot. i watched all preseaon, plus most of the early part of training camp. i've pulled for him. but he has been outplayed since being named as the starter after last season. he just isn't delievering the performance we need right now. i'm a realist, gibbs drafted campell for a reason. ramsey needed to make his best drew brees imitation often and EARLY. he didn't. he looked like a deer in headlights as always. gibbs was given the chance to take him out without having to wait. i just hope if brunell struggles again, campell will get some time in the seat.
That's the most reassuring thing I have read on this whole debacle, well said
RIP Sean Taylor

Brunnell can move a pocket, but can he throw a football too???
Yes, he can. He did well in pre-season and played decently on sunday. Theres no wey hes anywhere close to being an elite QB, but right now, Ramsey just isn't getting it done.
Gotta respect the 'Skins

Not so. Jansen could not cover two guys at the same time. He did not make his mind to block one -or- the other in time.
Nobody picked up the blitz. It was a good defensive call for Da Bears.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Settle down there chap. Im not picking on Jansen, I am saying that his effort to push Briggs out of the was vailant but it increased the impact on Ramsey. He actually did get a good shove on him, problem was the guy was in the air and already landing on Ram.
SPIT HAPPENS!!

If Patrick had some freaking pocket prescence maybe he would have picked up on the blitz.
No, Im not pinning this all on Ramsey but it can't be pinned on Jansen either. It was a blitz and a good one at that. Patrick as usual had his feet in cement.

I agree on the lack of pocket presense comment and will add that I'm pretty sure Patrick actually stepped up and into the hit...making it worse. Didn't anyone else see him step up into the hit?
God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.

If you're correct than thank you.
I will admit that Patrick has improved significantly in this awareness and ability to step up in the pocket. Patrick got a raw deal from us. He entered into this team in the midst of turmoil and he's still feeling the effects of ridding it from our franchise.
Ramsey needs to just ask for a trade and leave. I wont have any bitter feelings towards him, the Skins have simply screwed his career. Its that simple. Patrick isn't a Brady or a Manning, he needed to be nurtured and eased into this and quite simply he wasn't.

aux contraire, mon ami!
I am pointing at Jansen for his inablity to pick one -or- another Bear in time. There was one too many attackers on the right hand side of the line in that blitz.
