I am deeply saddened by todays news, i didn;t have the heart to get on here and talk about this, and almost cried reading all the posts here and the widespread majority of us picking Ramsey. Joe Gibbs is now to me, not a good coach. Yes i said it. I will follow Ramsey wherever he goes in the offseason and become an instant fan of that team, where I know his coach will actually give him a chance and not hold a biast opinion against him.
Rooting for the redskins is a lost cause. Everything has been expalined here to an overkill point, so i am not going to state why Ramsey should start, other then Coach gave him no time to even start. I wish Ramsey luck with whatever other team he goes to, because he wont play here, even if he gets this team to the playofs which wont happen becasue Brunell will start for a minimum of 4 weeks and then be thrown out which begs the question. Jason or Pat, and Gibbs will probobly take Pat because he THINKS the season is not over, but it already is. It was over when we beat the bears by two points. Im so happy my favorite team is the Steelers (not sure u guys knew that!), where the coach makes the right decisions. I know im bein a downer, but this just proves what i thought would happen once Ramsey was not put in the game.
Goodbye, i probobly wont be back at this site until either Ramsey plays or is traded and shows the skins what idiots they are.
But enough of my ignorance, my biast opinion towards Ramsey. Yes he has his problems, yes Jansen even said tonight on the radio, that in the clubhouse the team overall does not like some thinks Ramsey is doing, maybe he is not listening to them, not listening to Musgrave, not doing it the way he was told, but guess what, when you are thrown in your first two years, and have a different offense to deal with and its always bein "REVAMPED" eveyr year, what do u expect. Thanks washington, for ruining another players career. As many have said, Ramsey will be succesful, just NOT here. Have fun with Jason Campbell.. good luck with that this year...

Answer: 2003 season week 2 at Atlanta, 357 yards, 2 td´s, ZERO as an 0 int´s, with an awful redskins defense, he already proved he can put those numbers, Gibbs has to give him a REAL chance, if Brunell starts the offense won´t score more than 10 points, you can count on that.
You are not seriously bring up on game 2 or 3 years ago are you? And I mean has Ramsey had a preseason game or now a regular season game this year without an interception and the answer is no. We just cant have that guarenteed mistake every week and wait on it to happen. You guys all know its almost impossible to win games when you loose the turnover ratio.

1 interception per game is almost an inevitability for any NFL QB! your question itself is unreasonable. it's one thing to throw 3 INTs a game, or even if it's 2 every single week. but in any case, he did not throw an INT against san fran or the giants last year.
in 2003, aside from atlanta, he threw 0 INTs against the following teams:
*The New England Patriots. perhaps you've heard of them? they won the superbowl that year and had a great defense.
*Buffalo
*Dallas. now remember, this was the parcells-led cowboys that went to the playoffs.
The fact is, in 17 of his 24 starts, he has thrown for 1 INT or none at all.

great.... now tack on the fumbles, sacks taken, games won & lost.... and see if he's still worth complaining about for 5 days and going....
i'm sure you can find ways to distort those stats too...

CurveBall - "It might be YOUR biggest game of the year but it really doesn't seem to be as big a deal for Dallas fans anymore."
We need Ramsey to be our back-up QB. Is there any question in anyone's mind about that? Brunell & Ramsey are our starting QBs for the rest of this season, hopefully. I would be very pleased if Brunell can remain the starter if only in that it would mean he is doing a good job.
I think it would be great if (when) Ramsey is the QB and he also does a fantastic job. This would mean that someone will give him a large contract to play elsewhere next year AND that we are in the playoffs this year!
I do not like the thought or consideration about trading a QB at this stage. We need a back-up QB who can play (and win) at the NFL level.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
