For all of YOU #8 tailgater fans, think back to the end of the Vikings game last year, was there a single fan in the entire world that would have wanted #8 under center instead of #11.

The answere is NO.....!!!!!!

Don't give me any of that Brunell played better in pre-season crap. Pre-season means nothing.

If Brunell gets the start next Monday he may actually breake the 100 yards passing mark. How many game last year did this guy just STINK up the place. I mean not completing even 100 yards is just as bad as throwing an INT.

When are we ever going to give Ramsey a shot? We KNOW Brunell can't win more than 3 or 4 games. If he is on the field for any significant time Gibbs will have his 3rd losing season!

On that non-INT / PI play to Moss Brunell threww the ball atleast a second too late and under threw the ball buy at least 8 or 9 yards. Because Moss had 6 or 7 yards on the DB. If Mark under throws it buy 5 yards or less it would have been a TD. Of course everyone else said that Patten was wide open for what might have been a TD too. So what we had was two speed WR that toasted their DB for a possible TD and all Brunell had to do was make a poor throw instead of a horrible throw.

Let's hope Ramsey gets back on the feild soon!!!

Unless, of course it's in a winning effort.

But...some might enjoy a 300 yds passing, 3 INT loss.

Of course not, but you don't win many games throwing for less than 100 yards. How about throwing a pick like Brunell did by under throwing Moss by 10 yards, when he was open by 6 or 7. I know the INT didn't count because the refs decided to give us a make up call for the Ramsey hit. Brunell makes game changing screwups by not throwing a ball because he is afraid that it might get picked. You can't play hancuffed and Brunell does.

How long are you going to be on that NO-Play or as you call it non-int? Either way it's a dumb stance to take considering you are trying to defend the guy that accomplished his Int.

Patrick had too many turnovers for Gibbs to put him out there.
If Ramsey was to go down to Texas and his 1st 3 drives turned out like they did last Sunday, half of you would be waiting for him at the airport (no one would be smiling).

Gibbs is paid to do just what he did. Last year this same group was crying he took too long to pull Brunell. Some say Ramsey didn't get a fair shot but he did he had the whole offseason (during which he stayed in town for the most part), the OTAs, preseason and training camp - It was his job to win last year and he didn't, this year it was his job to lose and he did

I think #8 should be the starter. When will Gibbs make the decision?

He made the decision Monday afternoon. Brunell is the starter against Dallas.

I love my Redskins Fandom brethren, but I must ask, how bad will the Brunell Boo-birds feel if the team returns from Dallas 2-0 with Brunell as the QB who finally vanquished the Cowpies in Big D? Just wondering.

Well, time to fuel up the Freedom Grill after reading the following:

Brunell said that the toughest part of being the backup during the regular season is running so few plays practicing with the first team offense. "Those plays that we have in our game plan, you don't practice those," he said. "The starter gets the reps here. You may get one or two a day, but you're doing things that you just did not practice."

Washington's receivers said that Brunell's most impressive quality has been his confidence despite last season's struggles.

"You can look at him," Moss said, "and get that sense that he practices every day like he's the guy that's going to lead this team one day."

Brunell sounds ready. Read the entire article here.

Have any of you ever had the experience when you wish you would be WRONG. I do.

I hope I am wrong. I hope Brunell and Gibbs prove me wrong on Monday -and- the rest of the season. I hope I will not be in a position to write that you were full of ...

Redeemed please stay away from the refried beans (frijoles refritos).

No it isn't dumb to point out that both Ramsey AND Brunell threw an INT. They both accomplished that!!! The only difference is Brunell got LUCKY that the Ref threw the flag.
Either way he stilll threw a pick because he under threw his guy buy TEN YARDS.

Look my argument is we know what we are going to get with Brunell. A guy that doesn't make many good or bad plays. If the defense holds Dallas under 13 we may have a chance. With Ramsey we still do not know what we have. We know that his physical skills are much better than Brunell's and that can't be changed. We know that he turns the ball over a BELOW AVERAGE amount of times for QB with less than two years of starting experience (31 games played, 26 starts). We also know that he takes too many sacks. He can improve on his faults and Brunell can't. Brunell has no upside! Ramsey has a ton of it! So you can play a guy that your entire team has to play perfect to win or a guy that has the tools to make up for mistakes. Either way it is going to be a long season.

I hope I am wrong, I just can't see how I can be!

Okay, tonight is the night.

I'm really pullin' for a Redskins win, and for #8 to shine.

I will be rockin' my Brunell jersey (only $29.99 at Redskins Stores around the area ), and will be watching in a jampacked venue (State Theater -- along with Punu and his peeps).

I'm either gonna feel really, really, really, really good about sportin' "the ocho", or I may end up being the laughinstock of:

a) The State Theater
b) THN
c) anyplace within the DC area where I will be seen with my #8 jersey.

Here's to a Redskins victory!!!! -drinking

All #8 Tailgaters: enjoy Mark's welcome back party on Monday Night Football.

Talk to y'all mañana... 8-[

Wow!

Why would I lie, Mark Brunell looked pretty dang good today. And yes, I have been very critical of Brunell and I am still a Ramsey supporter, I gladly will give Mark Brunell credit for this win.

He showed great poise in their tonight, and has some zip for an old guy. And while he is still pretty bad at those 10-15 yard throws (where he always throws high) but besides his INT, he really couldn't have lost us the game.

While I still disagree with the decsion to put Brunell in over Ramsey, I see coach Gibbs point of him wanting the QB to manage the game, not lose it.

But I still disagree with a lot of the play calls, but hopefully after those glorious 2 mins, 29 seconds of awsomeness, hopefully the offensive game plan will involve MUCH more deep ball gameplanning.

And while we did actually have quite a few deep balls tonight, we never really hit on them so we shunned away and kept to the boring 2 and out cut back plays.

So as I'm trying to keep my emotions down after Dallass just got SMACKED, while I am not on the Brunell bandwagon, I definately am on the Washington Redskins bandwagon, still sitting shotgun next to Chris Luva Luva.
