Report: Skins set to trade Ramsey to Miami
Report: Skins set to trade Ramsey to Miami
Just heard the following on 'ESPN Sports Radio'
Patrick Ramsey wants to start now not later and his agent and the owner of the Skins could not come to an agreement with Ramsey's role on the Redskins, so the Redskins are now in active discussions with the Miami Dolphins about trading Ramsey.
Typical Redskins. No wonder why this franchise is of the worst in the NFL in terms of its decision making. Hope they win next year, because that's basically all their old QB will be good for.

All I'm tellin' ya is what they said on the radio that Washington will trade him.
And I didnt mention in first post the other part that they said which was the Redskins are also talking to an unknown 2nd team at this time but it was the "station's hunch" that the team was the Pittsburgh Steelers involving the Steeler's 2nd round pick.
Either way, they said dont expect Ramsey to be a Redskin for too long.

....AND FOR A SECOND ROUNDER???? no way. ramsey is a 1st round QB. it is completely absurd to think that he'll go for less than a 1st or more. maybe even throw a player in with that first. some of the media blow things completely out of proportion. why would we trade ramsey, so hasselbeck could back up brunell

THN's resident jerk.

Listen bucky - wanna step to the smack forum and let me unload my sarcasm on you there?
As it is - you could be anyone just hopping by from one of our opponents boards just trying to pop off a quick round or two just to cause problems...
You won't id yourself - fine - I will question your veracity at this point due to the fact that we have had a couple of trolls who did nothing but come in and pop off fake crap to make people upset...
So, as I said, I will wait and see. If I am wrong - so be it, and you won't be the first or last I would apologize to. I just don't think the Skins would be stupid enough to set themselves up to having to find another QB after bringing in Brunell to strengthen the QB situation.
If it happens to be true - good for you for scooping some of the best news hounds on the planet.

I'm rather skeptical of the Ramsey to Miami rumors. However, I do understand that Ramsey's upset about potentially losing big bucks because of his incentive laiden contract.
There is a report that the offensive Coordinator of the Dolphins commented on the radio today that Ramsey would be a logical choice for the Dolphins to pursue...but that means very little at this stage.
There are many Dolphin fans that would love for this rumor to be true. I'm still waiting to see how the pursuit of Henson shakes out. I just don't see us trading our 1st round pick with so much talent at the WR & OL position waiting there for us.

"bucky"? Dude, what are you even talkin' about?! Step to the smack forum for sarcasm unload? Relax. You look stupid right now. No one is doing anything out of bounds, im simply relaying what I heard. No more, and *NO* less either.
So, as I said, I will wait and see. If I am wrong - so be it, and you won't be the first or last I would apologize to.
reply:
Great. So another words, you got nothin'. By the way, I posted here ONCE before, I mentioned here first that I had heard Joe Gibbs was taken to the hospital for something.
A few people jumped down my throat about "spreading awful rumors" about him. Few moments later, once they found out, they shut the hell up.
I just don't think the Skins would be stupid enough to set themselves up to having to find another QB after bringing in Brunell to strengthen the QB situation.
reply:
Well, this the part that you wont like and I'm not doing this to show any disrespect, but what makes you think the Redskins are so smart in the first place? They got an owner who is clueless and who will just sit back and do whatever the Head Coach decides, so he's not a factor. The "GM" slash raquet ball player is in the same boat. Leaving everything up to Joe Gibbs, and I hate to break this to you, but who ever said he would be a genius in shaping a roster...he's never done that before until now.
Its not a question of what the Redskins are doing either, if the guy (Ramsey) doesnt want to play in Washington anymore, then that's all there is to it. And he doesn't. He's set to LOSE a lotta money this year as a backup. I cant blame him, being in the prime of his career, wanting to get out so he doesnt lose as much money as he's going to. Im sure he was counting on that money a month ago. Now he's going to lose it all.

Obviously Smiz he isn't a Skins fan from the talk - just like some of the other trolls.
Been to the ESPN, CNN/SI, CBS Sportsline, NFL.Com and ESPN Radio site - nothing.
I guess the Skins could be stupid "guest", but I don't believe they are going to trade Ramsey. He is under contract and there isn't anything he can do about that other than sit out which would kill his career.
If you don't like my opinion that you are a troll who doesn't have backup - ok - but if you look back I stated I will wait and see ESPECIALLY due to some of the trollers we have had. You got sarcastic and defensive when you don't even want to state your loyalties. If you aren't some trolling Cowpukes fan here trying to stir stuff up, fine.
I have a right to disagree with you without your little comments being sarcastic and such.
If you don't like my opinion, state it - but as I told others you can do it as an adult and we all get along.

I personally expect it - he has the smarts and the arm strength as well as being a student of the game. He also has tenacity and toughness on top of being cap friendly.
I don't see Gibbs letting him go. If I am wrong... as I said before, it wouldn't be the first time.

I think this is all crap. Guest you have alot of freaking nerve. You cannot come into a party and expect everyone to agree with you when you put down their team! BTW The last I checked a 3rd year quarterback is NOT in the prime of their career. And the last time I checked the men making up these rumors were the ones trying to get more money, like hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Ramsey's agent! I think that you need to either show your face or keep on marching. We have enough news sources around there that we trust and I think that is what my fellow fans were refering to! Don't let the door hit you on the way out!
Ok I was that guest before Smizzy. I know I look like a jerk calling someone else out for it. I didn't know I was logged in. LOL

his contract is performance based - if he loses out I think he might not be happy about it but I think the Skins retain him and constantly work with him.
I truly don't see Brunell beating Ramsey if PRam puts his mind to it, and even if it does happen this year it won't next year.
Gibbs system is so much more QB friendly too - think about Gibbs, Burns, Zampese and Bugel all working on that system - and they are doing x's and o's with Williams to poke holes in their schemes to see how to improve them... I think PRam sits down, studies and proves that he is the best by the end of the preseason.
