Former Terp in Burgundy and Gold?

Post by REDEEMEDSKIN »

I just heard on 980 that the Redskins had Nick Novak in for a workout today. Yes, Nick Novak, formerly of the Maryland Terrapins, and, even more recently, of the Dallas Cowboys Preseason roster.

He was cut in favor of Jose Cortez ( arriba Guanacos!!!), who once kicked for us. I find that insulting to the MD product.

Perhaps he makes the squad, and shows the 'Pies what they missed out on.

Especially 'cause he might be our only offense on Monday Night. 8-[

I wouldn't argue if Nick signed with us. He made some clutch kicks as a Terp.

HOORAY FOR NICK NOVAK!! when i saw he got cut by the pukes in preseason, i was kind of upset, but its good to see he might get a second chance. from what i've seen of him in college, i'd wager a guess that he's an alright kicker ;-)
Sean, may you always rest in peace and look down on us with the same love that we look up to you.

Do you honestly think that Gibbs is going to go with two kickers with limited or no experience.(Coming from an NC State Fan) If he does then I don't know anything anymore.

Nick Novak would be a great addition. He could follow in the footsteps Jess Atkinson, minus the broken leg from Andre "dirty" Waters.

I can still seeing Nick Novak's breakout game, clutch kick against Georgia Tech on Thursday night ESPN.

Sign him. He also was consistent on kickoffs.

According to the mole at Extreme, we cut Antonio Brown and signed Novak. We'll find out whether that's true or not soon enough.

Novak was in the Dallas camp after cut by the Bears for a week after Cundiff was injured and released.

Kicked terribly in practice, got one kickoff in the final preseason game and nailed it to the 30 yard line. He also missed a field goal if I remember correctly.

Looks like he just couldn't adjust to the pro level, which is quite common for kickers.
This space reserved for BTP......If he ever wins it.
