who knows where he will go, but we will get at least a 2nd rounder for him, probably a 1st...

I'm hoping for Arizona myself. Because that will be a high draft pick and he will do great there.

I think it is a little premature here...however if we do get anything for him it won't be too much.

No one is trading anything good for Ramsey. Esp. at this point in the season. We were the only team that valued him anough to spend a 1st rounder on him in the first place.

well supposedly when we grabbed brunell, there were a few teams high on ramsey. where are they now? I hope still there. I feel for ramsey but its life. People have lost their job WITHOUT pay in this world for a lot less. At least he still makes a mint.

I just dont see us getting any value from Ramsey right now......i think a second round pick would be a steal

This whole Ramsey situation just stinks like a future pro-bowler. We've seen it before. Maybe he won't amount to much, and never would have here, but throwing him away as Gibbs just did is rather luxurious. I didn't realize we were that deep at QB.

Agreed. I'm guessin we get a salami sandwich and a side of chips. At best we get a fourth rounder or a mediocre lineman.

what makes you guys think this? when he was semi available a couple years ago there were lots of teams that wanted him and when we signed brunell again there were many teams very interested.

from fat lenny

Most league scouts agree that Ramsey has starting-caliber talent but many also feel that, given the lack of confidence demonstrated in him by the Redskins, he might only succeed if he moves on to another franchise.

I'd be willing to bet we get at least a 2nd rounder ;-)

QB's go for alot in the league. Remember Feeley going to Miami? Teams do weird things when they're desperate for someone behind center.
"The biggest misrepresentation there is that [it's because] Dan's got a lot of money. That's not it," Gibbs said. "We've got a rule. Believe me, if we had no rules, Dan would spend some money."

Ramsey has extremely low trade value right now. People don't trade for QB's at this time of the year. He'd have to learn a whole new system, displace whoever is there already, and re-negotiate a contract beyond next year. No team in their right mind would give anything for Ramsey right now. Besides, we need him as a backup QB.
Sit back and watch the Redskins.

The Bears? That's pretty funny! How would that call go. Hey Lovie - it's Vinny in DC... Hey remember the guy you almost decapated? Yeah that's him! We didn't start him last year when we should have. We gave him a quarter and let him get his head ripped off, stabbed him in the back publicly in favor of a older, used up, talentless (really nice guy), who stunk up the field last season so badly that he ranked as the worst QB in the NFL. Yep, we actually started him and stuck with him. He even told Coach - hey I suck, get me out ... and we left him in for another whole game. Anyway, that's the guy we'd rather play than Ramsey.

Lovie Smith : So why are you calling me?

Vinny: Uhm, we thought you might want to trade for Ramsey....

The phone line is busy, both receivers are on the floor and each is giggling while trying to tell the other folks in the office what happened... stay tuned.

While I think he's a fine backup, I'm more afraid that he poisens the locker room at this point. Gibbs has pretty much destroyed Ramsey as a Redskin. Ramsey needs to go - hopefully before Sunday.

I definitely don't think Patrick will be here more than a week or two. This is about as big a slap in the face as you can get in this league. I think he gets traded or released pretty quickly.

Do you guys really think he is worth a high two? In four years, he hasn't really shown any improvement - if anything he appears to have regressed.

He was the 32nd overall pick in 2002, and I don't think you can say that his value has gone up since then...
