Ramsey just asked to be traded.

Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

Ramsey

Post by funbunch »

In the Post Game interview with Gibbs I knew this was coming when he didn't say he would or would not start Ramsey. I think Gibbs already knew he would eventually pull Ramsey out because with the exception of the INT I thought he played a pretty good game considering we didn't get much going with the run when he was in. As a believer in Ramsey I am upset he was not given more than a little over a quarter to prove himself when Brunell played like crap most of last season and Gibbs stuck with him. Maybe Gibbs learned from his mistake and this is why he's making the change now, given that Brunell has been solid in the preseason and had an ok game yesterday. Gibbs is no fool, i'm sure he had his reasons for making Brunell the starter, after all he did win 3 super bowls with 3 different QB's. As far as Ramsey seeking a trade, I will believe it when I see it and if we get some nice draft pics or personnel for him I will be ok with that and wish him luck with some other team.

Ramsey just sealed his fate. If he asked for a trade you can be sure that Gibbs will never think twice about putting him back into the game even if the trade doesn't happen.

This is not a situation where the coach just doesn't like Ramsey, he has not won the job. Brunnel lost the job last year, but Ramsey has not done enough to keep it.

He had 7 games last year, and a half against the Giants and all of the offseason to work on one thing (not turning the ball over) he didn't do it.

And if he doesn't want to be a Redskins, then he can kiss it. Don't let the door hit you buddy.
SPIT HAPPENS!!

Ugh ... I'm not certain how I feel about this whole situation, frankly with all due respect to Coach Gibbs I'd feel better if Ramsey was named the starter against Dallas ... I'd be happy to have someone convince me otherwise ...

Anyway you cut it Gibbs shafted Ramsey on this one!

Gibbs is the Head Coach and Team President, he has the authority to "shaft" him.

If Manfreda wants out, we should honor his request. He'll be sorely missed, but we gotta do what we gotta do!!

I'd rather face Brunell. Someone has to thank Joe for me :)

that's funny... Brunell had 325 yards and 2 touchdowns last year vs. the girls... if that's what you want... I hope he delivers... ;)

You ain't got to lie Primetime.

You are trying to tell me you wouldn't like 3 or 4 guaranteed turnovers from Ramsey?

you're losing faith because he benched an average QB in favor of another average QB?

Honestly, Ramsey does concern me more.

This really makes me scratch my head.

Thats fine I guess, he has had numerous opportunities and he still turns the ball over. I think the hook is a little quick too, but expected. Gibbs was looking for any little thing to get Brunell in there and he is taking it and running. I really don't care who is at Qb for us because I like Ramsey and Brunell but I just want someone to STEP UP AND PLAY SOME FOOTBALL. I JUST WANT TO WIN, WHATEVER IT TAKES!!!!!

Is it possible to create an "Official Brunell will start on Monday" thread, and make it a sticky? I'm getting dizzy navigating from post to post.
