I was looking at Portis' numbers from the Bears game....
and his 21 carries for 121 yards were good. He averaged about 5.76 yards per carry, sure he struggled a bit at the beginning of the game, but he made up for it. I think he will past Stephen Davis' franchise rushing record and get 1600 yards atleast, so he has 6000 career rushing yards in 4 years.

also...portis said thathe got a lil bit hurt on the first play, which is why he was a bit slow at the start.
i love the one two punch, i think betts can produce big numbers.
I know this guy named Jimmy, he has a pet....POSTERNUTBAG! Thats his cats name, POSTERNUTBAG!!!
Portis looked awesome. He was bowling people over. He looked really good running between the tackles, his added strength has just given him a completely new dimension to his game. As the game went on it became clear that he just couldn't be brought down on the first hit, IMO he actually looked a lot more like a power runner than Betts did. Betts certainly helped out at the beginning when Portis was banged up though. I am excited.

What surprised me was the fact that watching the game on TV I couldn't tell if Betts or Portis was carrying the ball unless I saw their numbers (Portis also lines up further back in the backfield). Before, Portis was so much more slender than Betts but now he looks just as beefy. They have the same body-type now, it's just amazing. Portis still looks just as fast but every time I have seen him carry the ball this preseason and in the game I am just blown away by the power he has shown. He is absolutely going to dominate.

I like the sound of that.
Hopefully he hasn't lost any of his speed and acceleration.

Well as long as Portis keeps running the ball well and gets some touchdowns against Dallas, we will do fine.

I like the shared backfield duties of Portis and Betts. So far, so good.
Did anyone else notice Portis' fumble at the end of one of his runs? He recovered it himself, but I hope it doesn't become an issue.
The switching up of backs should keep his legs (for running) and his arms (for holding onto the ball) fresh. I'd hate for him to revert to his fumbling ways of last year.

You have to love it when Betts comes in and we run that draw play. Normally the backup RB signals pass or a symbolic (but uneffective) run. . .but not with Betts. He must have gotten over 20 yards on just a handful of draw plays alone (including at least one 10 yard play).
This way, we won't have to hand Portis the ball 30 times just to get 150+ yards of rushing. Portis stays a bit more fresh, Betts helps wear down the D. . .and then in the fourth quarter we get to watch those runs which get 5-10 yard chunks of the field at a time.

Once again Portis proves to all the doubters early that the Skins season success is COMPLETELY reliant on Portis carrying the load. He had some big runs late in the 3rd and 4th that had to really take some of the wind out of Chicago's D
