Colts @ Ravens

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Colts @ Ravens

Post by Jake »

Right now, it's 17-0 Colts.

A blessing at the expense of Kyle Boller happened for Baltimore. Boller got hurt several minutes ago and Anthony Wright has stepped in.

The Ravens offense has been playing inspired, energetic ball since Boller went out.

Wright has presence and a zip on the ball. Chester Taylor has been stepping it up on this drive, too.

I've said for a long time that Wright should be their starter. Boller is horrible and has been a complete bust since he was drafted. Billick is way too stubborn to take him out. It's too bad this is the only way Wright can see action.

Oh well. I still hope the Ravens get their butts kicked tonight.

Colts look really good.

Check out their schedule. Unless they are upset they should be 7-0 going into their bye week. Following that week off they go to New England for a Monday Night affair.

Colts' defense looked good, but lets not ge ahead of ourselves, it is the Ravens' offense.

IMO, that was an awesome game. I thought Wright looked better than Boller - put more heat on the ball and wasn't afraid to take chances. I think the Ravens should have kept running the ball early. If they're kicking game hadn't choked, they might have stayed in that one. Once the Colts were allowed to pass rush recklessly, it was over. Their D-line was lining up all spread out to get a better pass rush, in a closer game the Ravens could have exploited that, running right up the a-gap or between tackle.

I was in the car for most of the second half of that game and switching between the Colts' and Ravens' broadcasts (on Sirius). When Boller went down, the Colts broadcast they were sort of freaking out. "That is not what you wanted to happen if you are the Colts. Wright engineered the biggest comeback in Ravens history."

i know it was just baltimore, but the indy defense looked very impressive. freeney is a wild man. they had to keep a tight end in to help jonothan ogdon block him.
