Seems that you conviniently left out the fact that Collins/Brady and Pennington/Green played against each other this week so at least 2 of those qb's were guaranteed to lose. Each one of those qb's, however, has lead his teams to at least one playoff appearance and Manning, Brady, Collins, and Delhomme (not sure about the others of the top of my head) have played in AFC or NFC Championship games.

Ramsey nor Brunell did enough to win they game today. Mark did less to lose it though

i suggest we officially keep this conversation going over in the "hog wash" forum, in the "should ramsey start?" poll thread. i don't mean to move this thread, but just direct any further comments over there, so conversation flows to one point and we can all make sure to hear each other's opinions.

Exactly. I did not for once today feel the game was out of our control. There was nothing that went on during the game that made me feel we were losing.
Most don't like the way defensive games play out. Sometimes they can SEEM ugly,but remember where beauty lies.

Well, I would certainly rather win ugly than lose pretty (like we always seem to do against Dallas).
Definately, however even though we won today I still feel a wie bit queezy. But it's only because of our dang QB situation/offensive play calling.
I mean, I love the Redskins and was running around my house after kickoff, but come on, you think the coaches would realize that 1 and out pass patterns do not work nor does running Portis up the gut. Yet it seems that is all we do. However, in the second half the running game used some common sense and used Portis to the max and he dominated.
Another butterfly in my stomach is the QB situation. But it's not the QB controversy thats bothering me, its the talk of a QB controversy because I don't think there should be one.
Boonell is sooooo terrible. Once again he played 3 quarters and had 70 yards. Remember where that got us last year? Now granted the Running Game was clicking and we were preserving a lead, but still 70 yards! I will just feel so sick if Brunell starts in the Dallas game.

All this QB controversy isn't making any sense, J.Gibbs named Ramsey the starter, he has ONLY played a little more than a quarter and he played above average, there shouldn't be any reason why Brunell should start if Ramsey is healthy.
Hope Ramsey recovers and plays against the Dallas.

I am in total agreement. I'm also ticked off Gibbs hasn't made a big stink about that hit on Ramsey.
Gibbs is old school, and Old School Doctrine has an unwritten rule that you do not lose the starting job because of an injury. If anything, they'll overemphasize the injury, but you don't lose your starting position to an injury, unless your name is Drew Bledsoe.
Gibbs did make a big stink about the hit. What I'm more upset about is that Gibbs hasn't come out and given Ramsey a complete vote of confidence.
Instead he's pussyfooted around the issue and told everybody that wanted to listen how 'smooth' Brunell looked out there.
It's not going to be an easy decision for him to make, and I'm sure it's eating him up inside. On the one hand he's got Ramsey turning the ball over but giving him the big plays he's been clamoring for all offseason.
On the other hand he's got Brunell who some claim plays smarter but doesn't give us what this offense really needs.
Just like die cowboys die I hope that Gibbs comes to his senses and realizes that Ramsey gives us the best shot to win.
JG is playing a little mind game here..He is sending a message to the Dallas D-coordinator. Simply stated, which Qb ar you going to defend? Righty or Lefty?
Also, we don't know the impact of the hit on Ramsey, either physically or mentally. This option gives JG the most flexibility.
Lastly, JG knows he has to beat Dallas and end this streak. Given the hit on Ramsey, he has a one-week window to use Brunell to help him win that game, if he chooses, before giving the reigns back to PR.
Granted, I thought PR played well, but let's be real... the overthrow of the reciever for an interception did not help PR's chances.
In short, relax! PR will be back...matter of time.
