Midway Monster Says Congrats...

Post by Midway Monster »

True to my word I said I would come back win or lose.

I want to congradulate you on your opening day victory. I must say that I am proud of Kyle for surviving a very tough opening day at a very tough away game.

Sweep the Cowboys and good luck on the future.

I will say that although I am hurt by the lose I feel that for a Rookie QB Kyle held his head up. I think that we might finaly have a worthy QB that shows signs of getting better. In any case... the day is yours... With any luck... I'll see you in the playoffs... the vikings (the sure winner of the North according to ESPN) lost today so it's still anyones division... The Bears can compete in the North...

Your defense is awesome... good job today... My hat is off...

PS: This was not easy to write... however.. you won the day and thas it enough... one week at a time...

Midway Monster... Out...

See ya in the Wild Card game.... Da Bears....
Best Wishes

Good game Midway. I think the score should have been a bit more lopsided, but it was a great game regardless. The Bears are on the rise. Just gonna take time. Keep that defense together!!!

I'll add that the rookie QB did well. Assuming he continues to improve, the Bears will do some things this year. Still a top defense.

That took some class, and some guts to do. Kep your heads up. Kyle Orton played a lot better than I thought he would. You have a great defense.

Who knows? maybe we will see each other in the playoffs.

True Bears fans don't run and hide. We got beat in an ugly game. Most should be happy with Orton's play against a top flight D. Our run blocking which was a strength in preseason sucked today.

Our run D did not hold up either. Maybe the worst thing that happened was Ramsey leaving the game.

Good Luck the rest of the year and hope Ramsey can come back next week. Put 2 Ls on the 'boys.

Just got back from the game. I must say Orton played a much better game than I anticipated. I felt that Chicago's O line did a very good job in protecting him. I thought we would have had more chances to rattle him then we did.

My hat's off to Da Bears!!

Good luck with the rest of the season. Even though you guys lost, I feel you should hold your heads up with the way you played today!!

Now I will revel in the fact that we are in 1st place!! Go SKINS!!!!!

Very honorable of those whom return to pay respects. It reflects the class of your organization and your fanbase. You have a tenacious defense, some outstanding rookie corners, and a rookie QB that with some coaching could be something to really build on. With a defector on the Vikes (Smoot) you can be assured that most of us will be rooting against them for you. Hope to see us both in the playoffs.

Cheers...

P.S. Almost forgot to mention <<thanks for the reminder, HOSS>> Chicago's pass blocking was phenominal. Sure we had two sacks, but there were times where Kyle had ALL DAY to throw it. The Bears definately have some positives to draw from game film.

yeah midway, your O-line did great protecting orton, who looked like he definitely has What it Takes to be an NFL QB. maybe we can make a trade? :D just kidding, i actually think people are blowing the QB situation way out of proportion here-- ramsey (after some initial jitters) was moving the ball really well, and brunell did whatever gibbs required of him (which wasn't much- really leaned on the run game).

anyways, and your defense was a pain in the butt. "moose" looked sharp at WR. as soon as benson gets going you guys will be pretty good. good luck with the rest of 2005!

The Bears really fought hard, and we managed to escape with a close win. The defense was causing nothing but trouble and Orton really didnt look like a QB starting his first NFL game. Good luck the rest of the season, unless we somehow play later this season.

i too noticed that we leaned on the run game after brunnel came in. Granted the man is a very reliable backup...

anyways...good luck bears fans...your team played pretty well. Especially with that young QB at the helm.
