I'm just saying...
If the Bears come out and play very well... (I think they will)...
Based on their Defense and if Kyle Orton is the real deal... Do you think we can win the North...

I think GB is over the hill,, Detroit is seriously overrated... the Purple pride "God that kills me" is picked to be tough but no Defense to speak of...

On my board you get the same old "were going to the top" stuff. Some posters are intelligent but mostly it's guys who love the team and really want the best.. (I'm sure you've seen the same thing here)..

I want an out of division opinion. I know that this weekend we are enemies but come Monday it's back to the normal division fight...

Here is what I think about the EAST:

You guys have the best D in the East.

The Cowboys are getting press over Bill... SO.. you got JOE>>
Their RB is gonna be someone I'll agree but you can stop them.

The Giant's.. Please... Rebuilding... (Bottom of East)

Philly is gonna start slipping... I think TO (no matter what they say) is bad for a team... I watched Moss do that in Minny for years...

I think Philly will get the Division... (not by much)
But I love Defense and you guys (Your QB has to get it together) could compete for the East...

Thoughts... Please keep the (Go Die) stuff to a minimum..

I think the Bears are as under rated as the Skins are... No respect from the press... picked as 32 (Please).. Hell, Rex only played 6 real games himself... If Kyle makes seven games he will be more of a vet than Rex..

My only question about the Bears is at QB. Losing Grossman has to hurt, and the new kid might be anything...I remember when the Patriots had an injury to Bledsoe, everybody's sure-thing all-star, and some unknown kid handled that team fairly well.

(And I remember when the Redskins drafted Heath Shuler...much better choice than Trent Dilfer, agreed the ESPN draft experts.)

I'm sure that the Bears defense will be tough, which is enough to compete with anybody.

you've got your work cut out for you. lovie smith is going to do his best, thats a given. the defense SHOULD be solid. i do have my doubts as far as orton. its a tough league. how many rookies come in and actually DO what they need to? few and far between. i'm certainly glad jason campell isn't starting opening day for us. My 2 cents

ramsey isn't great, but he has time under his belt.

i don't want to put it so blunt, because i hope the team isn't taking the bears lightly, but i think that orton will be completley and uterly blown away by the gregg williams defense. i hope it works out for the bears in the division, but with qb's like culpepper, and favre, the on the field leadership is going to be hard to top. the only way i see detroit being in the mix, is if they actually USE the talent they have at their disposal. so yes. da bears have a chance, but ALL of the cards have to fall the right way.

the team is headed in a positive direction, but it does take a while to get there. trust me, our team has been trying to get there for quite some time.

... even if what you say is true about the other teams in your division... which some of it I agree... there's no way you guys come close to winning the division... no way...

what you're hoping for is for Orton to pull a Rothlisberger.. and it just doesn't happen that often.... the Steelers were already built to be a successful team... Ben just played well enough not to lose games for them...

The Bears on the other hand are sitting where we were about three years ago when we first got Ramsey... their building a good defense, which still has room to grow... and there offense is still in the beginning stages of being built (Rookie QB & RB)... I think that the Bears have a good coach to steer them in the right direction in Lovie Smith... but it will still be a few years till the Bears will be able to compete for there division... when you see the fall of Green Bay after Favre retires and Minnesota turns back into a flop... I think it will be the Bears & Lions competing for the top of that division... but like I said... you've got a few years to wait... trust me, I know from experiencing it with the skins..

I appreciate the input. I think your right for the most part. I feel the Defense is there but we have a lot of variables on offense. To be good they would all have to pan out. As any fan,,, I can only hope.. (something I've had to do for 10 years). But I am a loyal Bears fan and always will be .... good or bad. So that being said. I hope we bring it Sunday. If anything.. we will learn a lot and I can't think of a better place for Kyle Orton to get a real tast of the NFL than at Fed Ex field on opening day.

Good luck Sunday... I'll come back by win or lose...

btw, sweep the pack. damn, i'm tired of seeing favres worn out ass on the field.
