"God favors me" is the same kind of arrogance that leads to all kinds of discrimination and war.

That is ONE way of looking at that statement. However, God is the source of health, strength, and protection, all of which a receiver must have in order to safely get through a game without injury. The players are people, too, and they risk their lives playing a sport that can cause serious harm.

Everyone knows that in the NFL, you're always a play away from early retirement. Why not acknowledge God for helping you reach a certain goal? What's wrong with that?

I, personally, thank God for my health. I'm thankful that I woke up this morning, something a lot of people (especially in N.O. -- since we touched upon the subject) couldn't say today. My 2 cents

Well, considering that it is a "written" mesage board, spelling (and, grammar, too!) are extremely helpful.

Welcome to the board!

A big shout out to Brody!!

I think that the Bears' only hope Sunday is that God will protect them, possibly in the uniform of a zebra.

New Orleans is famous for sin, last year on the very same date as this years katrina....New Orleans had a "homosexual festival" at which there was public displays of the very acts that got Soddom and Gomorrah blown to bits.
This was a disaster of Biblical proportions, and to those who know the truth that is not just a figure of speech so just know it.

There I've made my peace about N.O. now about the Sean Taylor comment...all I'm saying is you must be a no football watching buffoon if YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT SEAN TAYLOR is what you said it was. Get a life, more importantly Get Jesus.

You are psycho if you really believe any of that.

Also, what is with putting words in people's mouths? He didn't say it was his "favorite" thing about Taylor. You saying he did is a lie, which is just as big a sin as homosexuality, according to your own beliefs. Just some food for thought.

Well I've been apart of this board a long time and I follow the Redskins with all the rest of you, but I don't think I can be apart of a message board who's moderator conducts himself the way mr. hailskin does. I see why the Redskins chose Extremeskins and not this board. Good luck Redeemed skins.

Did you see Sean Taylor line up at WR today? AWESOME!!

But I can not belive how stupid Mark Boonell is. He had ST open running towards the corner of the endzone, but instead he throws it to Cooley who is 2 yards short!! Worst play of the game right there.

I saw him line up there on the first try....the one when Ramsey was still with us. I guess I missed seeing him line up there again.....before that 3rd field goal. Now, it kind of makes sense as to why we let go of both McCants and Dyson.

I thought Brunell played well for a backup, but you're totally right about the Cooley play. His floater into double coverage was pretty stupid too-- that one could have cost us the game. I find hope in the fact that Gibbs went to the ground when Brunell was in there....Maybe he knows the old man's arm is only good for a few throws a week (as many on this site do not).
I was extremely impressed that Gibbs went with ST on offense in the red zone. A great idea! I was disappointed, however, that Sellers lined up for short yardage at FB and Nemo wasn't suited up. We got away with a QB sneak, but that may not happen too many times more.

Yea, Taylor has good hands. I like the call.

Atleast Brunell is not Mr. INT.

Brunell threw the same number of INTs that Ramsey did, but was saved by a penalty.

Asside from the early interception, Ramsey outplayed Brunell: he gained more yardage through the air in a quarter than Brunell did in three, he threw a touchdown that was called back under questionable circumstances, and the play that took him out of the game was illegal and should've led to another score (though, obviously, Ramsey wouldn't have been in at that point), and this was all before we started finding holes in their run defense.

not siding here... but that's not exactly true... if Moss wasn't held... he probbaly would have gotten to that ball... It was intercepted because Moss wasn't where he was intended to be because he was held... ;)

That's a good point. Still, if Ramsey had kept the same pace, he'd have thrown for more than 400 yards, versus Brunell's <80...
