Tailgating Club

Post by BossHog »

Well it's that time of year again... time when people gather together at Fed Ex Field to watch a little football. We are excited to announce a few things that pertain to tailgating with THN this year.

We have a new tailgate section on the website... you will find a permanent link in the left-side navigation of the main site. We will be posting an article after every tailgate party highlighting the festivities from that week's game. You will also find links there to the tailgating photos that are in the Galleries section and we will be uploading photos every week.

This section will also tell you where to find us and we will update it with instructions on how to get there in the next few days.

So what makes this year's tailgating experience bigger and better?

Well a few things actually. Firstly, we were fortunate enough to have a few Hogettes drop by our tailgate and visit with us last year but this year we thought it'd be easier to just move our operations closer together. So we have moved to the green lot and the Hogettes and THN will set up shop together every week to bring you a better tailgate experience. Now not only will you find a few of them at THN tailgates but you'll find all of them. We welcome you all to come on down and meet these world reknowned fans and find out just how special they are.

Second thing that we're proud as punch to announce... we have a new tailgate sponsor in Isaac's Restaurant. Isaac's has agreed to not only bring food for 30-40 people but to have two people there to prepare the food for us as well. How can you beat that? Isaac's will be cooking up different fare each week and we'll try to keep you as up to date as we can as to what will be on that week's menu. We got started a little late this week but I heard from a little birdy that there may be some Filet mignons in this week's plans. We hope you'll still bring some knick knacks or anything you want to cook up but our goal is to feed as many of you as we can. The charge? Nothing. What? That's right, nothing. It's all on THN and Isaac's to show our appreciation to Redskin fans for supporting THN and of course the team.

Last plug I need to get in here is likely one of the worst kept secrets ever at THN... the Freedom Grill. Word leaked out and you guys were all over it but it's hard not to gush about such a manly invention. The grill will go a long way to freeing us up to do what all tailgating parties require... relaxing and getting ready to cheer our team on to victory.

On that note, DE's Pig Pen is getting buried by a bunch of content that we have today. Here is a link to his latest Pig Pen which is obviously related and entitled Freedom Grill Makes FedEx Debut

With so much going on today... a few articles may get buried and buried in a hurry but I wanted to point out another one to you so that you get all of the tailgating information that you need.

Press Release: THN Takes Second In Tailgate Challenge

Unfortunately both pieces are not so timely as we had to iron out a few details of our sponsorships; nevertheless, it's important to us that we thank and acknowledge the people that are helping us turn THN into the ultimate Redskins tailgating experience.

Thanks and we hope to meet many of you at the games each week... come down and say hello... sit down... have some food, and most importantly, have a good time.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

Yes, it has been confirmed. Isaac's will be bringing enough Filet Mignon, Pasta Salad, and Cole Slaw to feed 40-50 people.

They will also have onions, peppers and buns, if you wish to create the mac daddy steak and cheese ala Isaac's.

Can't say I've ever tried a steak and cheese made with FILET MIGNON.

P.S. While THN and Isaac's will be providing food, it is important to note that it is BYOB.

Filet Mignon?

I should get ahold of a parking pass, even if I don't have tickets for the game!

Hey, It's free to all skins fans (50 bucks a pop for other fans....j/k....or am I?) and we are with the Hogettes, which means we see an awful lot of people from the time we get there until the time we leave.

The guys here at the hogs.net work their kesters off, the tailgate, the cartoon, and all the coverage lately rocks!!! Keep up the good work guys.

More good news for the TG Party

from Dan Snyder Chat...
We have tried for years to get more port-a-johns in the green parking lots especially. Is there anything that can be done to improve the tailgating experience by adding more facilities of this sort to shorten lines for the fans out there?

Consider it done. In the future, send an email to Mike Dillow at the stadium and I guarantee we will fix it.

You're absolutely right, NikiH.

:celebrate:Thank GOD for the THN staff!!! :celebrate:

BTW- I don't think this has been addressed in previous posts, but, what time do you all set up the tailgate? Do you set up shop as well AFTER the game? I'll be at the Dallas game, but I'd be heading straight from church, which wouldn't leave me time to meet up with y'all prior to the game. Perhaps there's a chance to rendez-vouz after we beat the Cowpies?
Back and better than ever!
