Redskins chances this year...?

Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

That is not what happened - these guys chose to go elsewhere!

Personally, I think most of us here think that MR Washington is a much better player and a better teammate than Pierce!

We will be a lot better on defence this year because we have better players and we will be playing better as a team - now we just need the Special Teams and the Offense to get on that same level.
We will be in the playoffs this year because we will be playing better as a team.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

How many teams in the past 5 years have made it to the playoffs - much less won a playoff game - without a solid QB? Maybe 2: the Ravens and the Bears. History shows that the overwhelming majority of the time, a team needs solid QB play to be successful. It doesn't matter what the other "ingredients" are. Look at the '03 and '04 Chargers. One year they are 4-12, the next year they are 12-4 -- the major difference is the play of their QB.

So, I'll say it again: if Ramsey doesn't play well, the Skins will be no better than they were last year. But, if he does play well, there is no reason (because of all the other ingredients) that this team can't make some noise in the playoffs.

Sorry! I do not think it is a simple as that. I think that if Ramsey plays well we stand a better chance but we need more than that. If Ramsey does not play well BUT not badly and the team plays "well" in all facets of the game and as a whole team - then we can still be a lot better than last year.
This QB thing is a concern but we need to improve our Teams play and be at least as good on D as we were PLUS the offense needs to have a decent scheme...etc - We can have a better record than last year but Ramsey is only part of that equation.

It is truly amazing that our defense finished 3rd last year in spite of how often our offense put them on the field.

If this offense can establish a passing attack this season it will open up our running game. Every defense will force our offense to pass until it proves it can consistently.
