Newbe Here.............

Post by skinsfan44 »

Hi, Everyone.

My name is skinsfan44.

I am new to this board, but not new to Redskin message boards in general. I am the same skinsfan44 from all the other Skins boards.

I bleed burgandy and gold. I have a Redskins tattoo. I am about as hardcore as they come. Diehard till the end.

Oh, did I mention that I am a Redskins fan?

I am a season ticket holder, and if anyone comes to FedEx Field for a game, you can find me tailgating over in F-51 green stadium parking lot.

Looking forward to chatting with the greatest football fans in the "bloody" world.

Redskin Fans.

I'm new here too. Been hanging out for month's though...in cognito. While I don't have a redskins tattoo to prove my worth, I did throw my TV through the window after a Redskins game once (Redskins v. Cowboys, OT, Rocket Ismael catches TD pass -- it hurts to talk about). Looking forward to more posts

I am a newbee too.I am from Corpus Christi ,Tx.The heart of Cowboy land.Got season tickets last year sec 120 row 1.Great seats and behind the famous redskins fan who always talks trash to the other team.Glad to see Gibbs back in town. Was disappointed to see some many fans from the visiting team at our stadium last year. Not what I thought FEDEX was about.Hope that will change next year. How do some many non redskins fans get tickets to our place. They should call it EBAY FIELD.I thought skins tickets were hard to get.I got 35 yard line sec 120 in my first year and now my wife who I signed up last year has the chance to get some.Dont believe that ten year waiting list lie.It is be at the right place at the right time or next year at the most. GLAD TO BE PART OF THEHOGS.

Your wrong about the waiting list. Ask some people on this board about how long it takes to get tickets. With Gibbs back in town that list is as long as ever. But you are right that it was an easy ticket to come by last year. That was due to season ticket holders selling their tickets to non skins fans. That has been discussed on the board and hopefully that will change. The message is if you cant or dont want your tickets there are plenty of Redskin fans that will take them off your hands. Dont sell them to the enemy. Believe you me I heard about it this year. My dad is a season ticket holder and has been a Redskin Ticket holder since the early 70's. He was just sick this year. Hopefully with Saint Gibbs back in town we will bring back the days like they were in RFK when people hating coming to our field.

Nope, sadly I'm not old enough to know much about Chris Hanburger. (I turn 20 on Monday)

But my Dad was a huge Chris Hanburger fan and he wore 55 (while playing center) all through High School. When I started my own JHS and HS career I wore 55 too, and since about that time I used Skinsfan55@hotmail.com as my first e-mail address, I decided to bring it back.

So I guess I'm more of a fan of my Dad than I am of Chris Hanburger, :D

That's cool. Hanburger was a great player and fun to watch. Sadly I am old enough to have seen him. But I'm also glad I did.

WarMother, You and I would have hours to talk about reliving the fun "Over-the-Hill Gang" years. I still have WP newspapers from when we beat Dallas for the NFC Championship. Good times.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everybody.

PROBOWL TOM, I was on the season ticket waiting list for 22 years ('79 to '01), in part because most of that time we were still playing at RFK.

Sounds like you got the "dream seat deal." That is why it took you 1 year. A friend of mine just signed up his son (age 4) to the waiting list, and his number is like 137,384. That is one he!! of a waiting list.

NC43Hog, I am a HUGE Riggins fan, that is why the "44."

I have been skinsfan44 since '99, but what is funny, is that I indeed just turned 44 last month, so for this year, it has 2 meanings. You also mentioned about a Riggins avatar. Where do I find that? I want that for my avatar.

Warmother, I remember watching Chris, Diron, Larry, and Sonny play as well. Damn, I am getting old.
