i think it got lost along with Terrance Newmans's award for biggest top 5 bust in years. where the hell is Williams' ROY trophy?

we're going to base how good players are upon arbitrary subjective measurements like awards? watch taylor with your own eyes. he is the most talented defensive player in the league, period. the media has always gone down on champ bailey, even when he was a redskin (amazingly enough), but he never impressed me nearly as much as ST has. ST has the coverage skills of champ and the hitting skills of lavar. it's just ridiculous.

Well, I assume that you are saying that Ed Reed, the Baltimore Ravens Safety and last year's Defensive Player of the Year is better and based on last season's performance you would be right. The only problem is Baltimore isn't inside the beltway:

Notice the green arrow in the top righthand corner of the map that points to the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. That circualr thing that it's outside of is the Beltway. So, you're actually wrong, Sean Taylor IS the best Safety IN the Beltway.
Sean Taylor was better at Miami than Ed Reed ever was so maybe this year he will be both the best Safety in the NFL and the best defensive player overall.

You beat me to the punch! Great post and excellent observation!

Isn't FedEx outside the Beltway too?

No, just inside the beltway at exit 16
