Are you sure?

The commentators for the Miami vs. FSU, which was on ABC, said that the Giant/ Saints game will be switched to ESPN at 9:00PM. That was said at about 10:00PM Monday......maybe it was 11:00PM.

I sent ABC an email. This is so stupid and unfair. Why not just play the Giants-Saints game on ESPN in its entirety, and leave the Skins-Pies alone.

I'm stuck in upstate NY so it looks like I'll be lucky if I get to see half the game. :(

Please help the cause and drop a quick email asking that both games be shown in their entirety.

thx

These NFL guys have to stop doing this stuff! AND do not admit it if you are doing it! ever! 8)
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

The fact that the game is being played in NY is even worse. Most people have been saying that this is unfair from the standpoint of the Giants having nine home games. I see it the other way around. Look at the Saints, most players on their team have probably lost their homes and they are having to live and play somewhere else. So now, instead of having a home opener, they get to play another road game! That's rediculous, couldn't they just pick a neutral venue or something? So now the Saints are being screwed again. This just stinks.

actually, the saints have a better record on the road than at home under haslett (24-16 versus 18-22 at home, according to espn).

Update from ProFootballTalk.com :
GOOD NEWS FOR 'SKINS, COWBOYS FANS

Though the prospect of a blackout of the Saints-Giants game in New York might have been a good thing for Big Apple Cowboys and Redskins who won't see the first half or so of the 9:00 p.m. matchup between Dallas and Washington on ABC, we've also been told by the NFL that, in New York and New Orleans, the first half of the Cowboys-Redskins game will be shown on ESPN.

When the doubleheader initially was announced, it was said that the Giants-Saints game will begin on ABC at 7:30 and then switch over to ESPN at 9:00, except in New Orleans and New York, where the game would remain on ABC. This prompted several e-mails to us from Redskins and Cowboys fans in New York, who thought they'd miss out on seeing the first half of the "real" Monday night game.

So for folks in the following markets who want to see the the first half of the Redskins-Cowboys game, dial up ESPN at 9:00 and you'll catch all of the action: New York City; Bangor, Maine; Albany, New York, Binghamton, NY; Elmira, NY; Hartford-New Haven, CT; Portland, ME; Rochester, NY; Syracuse, NY; Utica, NY; Watertown, NY; Alexandria, MS; Baton Rouge, LA; Biloxi, MS; Columbus-Tupelo, MS; Greenwood, MS; Jackson, MS; Lafayette, LA; Meridian, MS; Monroe, LA; New Orleans, LA; Pensacola, FL; and Shreveport, LA. After the Giants-Saints game ends, the Redskins-Cowboys game will migrate back to ABC.
