Please - baseball Gods...

BTW - how freakin' pathetic are ATL fans? They're in a playoff race and 20,000 fans showed up to the game yesterday. They deserve to lose.

Ok, back to the baseball Gods. Help us destroy ATL!

Did anyone see that staredown between Frank and the ump?

Totally classic! On his 70th birthday no-less.

And very much epic. Turned that smug-nosed ump into Jell-O for the rest of the game.

You could tell the ump was intimidated and he WANTED to toss Frank but knew he couldn't cause Frank didn't say a word.

I've seen that stare plenty of times this season. I'm waiting for an ump to turn to stone and crumble. lol
He's got a death stare on him!

Let's hope for 3 out of 4 tonight!

Hey average isn't bad for an inaugural season! And it ain't over til it's over.

Nice... I've got tickets to the first game in the last series against the Phillies... I'm hoping they'll be worth going to at that time... although having baseball back here in DC makes every game worth going too .... ;)

You guys are lucky.

Other then not being around the family, Not being able to catch my favorite sports teams sucks. Now all I here about is the Raiders, 49ers, Angels, and Dodgers.

At least I'm in Hawaii, but I miss the local sports coverage.

If you missed the Nats game today... you missed a pretty good game... Livan was outstanding, on the mound and at the plate... and you can really see the team actually playing with the same enthusiasm as they did in the beginning of the season...

DEHog, it's always nice when you get to go to games like they had today... ;)

Yes they did... it was enjoyable to be able to watch them contend until atleast September... let's just hope we get an owner and some decent hitting in the offseason...

Apparently the team didn't get the memo that they were done. What a season!

I was at the game last night.

Barry Bonds' homer was a thing of beauty, never had I seen a baseball leave the park so fast...

...well from the bat of a player who is NOT juicin', that is.

We fell 4-3, because Livan's pride and Frank Robinson's fear got in the way of our win. We were one out away from a win, and these guys screwed it up. :explode:

I was there also!!! I loved how everyone booed Bonds as he walked up to the plate and them cheered when he hit the dinger. Didn't get the tix to the game on Wednesday and once again couldn't watch. I'm a little bitter if you can't tell.

Made it to yesterday's game, and it was nice to see the Nats win again. Without Barroid, otherwise known as "performance enhancers", the Giants could not penetrate the Nats' defensive play.

'twas a lot of fun.
