Haha, Clarret's been cut
What a fool, he declined his SB so he could end up earning 7 Mil. instead.

Kick a man while he's down, huh?

He did an honorable thing, even if it was to satisfy his ego (thought he deserved 1st round money).
He seemed like the real deal in college, and could have been great had he not been off for so long.
I hope he learns something from this experience, and from his upcoming stint in the CFL, AFL or NFL Europe.
Back and better than ever!

I went to UVA, and even though we are not a perennial powerhouse in football, I can say that the things Clarett accused Ohio State of doing are more than likely true.
Its kind of messed up that his whole life was changed over somethings that these big time football schools allow and encourage.
Not about the over estimating the items stolen from his car, but in the aftermath where the University disowned him and hung him out to dry, and then acted as if they were the Citadel or some other honorable school.

SPIT HAPPENS!!

This is a good illustration of how when you fight larger powers there is a HUGE chance that you will be smacked down.
I'm all for standing up for what is right, but you should know what you stand to lose before you start a fight. When we are young, most of us do not know this. It takes some time to learn. (A lot of us learn the hard way a few times) Don't stop fighting for change because you can lose, but choose your battles wisely, and know the risks.
I'm not trying to glorify Clarrett's case. He's a bit of a selfish man. That said, he went up against the University and the NFL and thought he was invincible because he believed he was in the right. It changed his life forever. He will be lucky to have a career in the NFL now, where he was GUARANTEED to be a millionaire had he stayed in school another year. (barring injury)
Just
of course
