Swept Colorado! Pull out the brooms. Let's hope we can do the same to Phily - this is a huge series coming up and the offense is beginning to wake up.

HUGE series coming up is right... we've gotta keep pace with Houston and losing to Philly more than once we're just going give them ground and then we'll have to keep pace with the both of them....which I'm afraid might be too much... :(

keeping fingers crossed..

Anyone go the Reds game last night? I was a little disappointed. Great night at RFK, but the boys did not look too great.

they had a very bad night.... the Reds own us right now... I'm afraid if we don't pull these next two out against them... our playoff hopes are going to die... because it only gets harder after them....

Glad to have another Nats Fan aboard... ;)

Holy crap - look at this stretch coming up. Only one night off, almost all division games. It's make or break time. This is going to be tough but at least our destiny is in our own hands.

I'll be at one of the games against the Giants late in September. I'm hoping Barroid is back by then, though it seems unlikely at this point. Hopefully, we're entrenched in the playoff run by then.

Oh man talk bout no runs. We haven't scored a run in like 19 straight innings. Someone should take a sign to RFK that says "IT'S CALLED HITTING" if we don't have a good series against the Braves and the Phillies were done for in the race.

Dude, I think we're already done. Since Angelos blocked us from getting an owner we couldn't go out and sign Ken Griffey Jr., who was on the trading block, or Manny Ramirez, who I still can't believe was on the trading block. We just couldn't get that veteran slugger that this team needed to make its push. RFK has got to be generating some serious revenue. We could have afforded one of those guys.

But you know what.......I really don't care. We have baseball back in DC. I've wanted baseball here my whole life. I won't be hearing how that team in Baltimore is my local team no more. Baltimore is at least two hours away. They were never my local city or my local team. Hopefully we can get that owner we need in the offseason and go from there. I'm just glad we finally have a team.

It was great going to RFK this year. I didn't see a game at RFK at all until the Nats came to town. And one thing RFK has on Fed Ex is the atmosphere. I had a really good time especially at that Braves game in July. When Majewsky gave up a few runs and the Braves took the lead we came right back in the bottom of that inning. During the comeback that stadium got LOUD. It was about as loud as the opener at Fed Ex last year and it was only 28,000 people!. Geez, I can only imagine what it was like at Redskin games.

everytime I get down about our slide since the all-star break, I remember exactly this...

it's good to have baseball close to home...

Amen brother and pass the Cracker Jack!

And, as Nats fans proved many a time (moreso in May and June than in July and Aug., though -- the stands still bounce!

Even I'm shocked at how quickly the Nats became a full-fledged equal to the Redskins in my root-for pecking order.

Then again, my youth was primarily baseball and didn't really turn to football until a) Lombardi came to coach here and b) (of course) the Senators left.

I'm glad to have a team also.

We can get right back into it if we play hard. Look at the schedule, we face almost all division opponents and the majority of the games are at home. While we're limping now, we will have every opportunity to make it up. The first step's a doozy though - a double header against the Braves today.

BIG DAY TODAY... two wins, and we're only 4 games back from the division and possibly .5 game back in the wild card race...

two losses... and we're probably done...
