On Ramsey Bandwagon or Off

Post by blchizzleke »

I am sick of seeing some people diss Ramsey and say that Brunell or even Campbell should be our starting QB after two sub-par weeks and then after a good performance against the Steelers saying that he is back to being good. What I am asking is to post whether you are on the Ramsey bandwagon or off. I am on. But if you say you're on then quit making negative comments about him even if he doesnt do well on a certain week. If you say you are off and stay off the whole time, then I respect your opinion, but you can change your mind if, say, we made the playoffs. :D

It is possible to support Ramsey as the starter and not be happy with his play. this reads like the polar opposite of something Skin_Domin8 would post. If you are a fan then you support the player on the feild. If it's Ramsey support him, if it's Brunell do the same. If you aren't happy with their performance why wouldn't you comment on it?.

As a Redskin fan...
I'm a Ramsey supporter.
I'm a Brunell supporter.
I'm a Campbell supporter.

I'm as big a Ramsey supporter as you'll find. That being said, Ramsey needs to keep improving pretty much every week. He's done that for about the last 7 or 8 games going into last season. IMO he is lacking confidence still. That needs to go away. He has all the reason in the world to be confident now. Great OLine, RB and WRs that can get seperation. Not to mention Gibbs has repeatedly said Ramsey is our guy. I think Patrick can be great. He needs to realize that. If he does things will go very well for us this season. If he doesn't, he will gradually get worse. If he's getting worse, then the switch needs to be made to Brunell because Brunell is showing that he was hurt last season. His arm isn't dead like it looked last year and this team has all the tools to go to the superbowl.

I've always supported THE RAM and I believe he will take us to the playoffs this season, people still forget that during his second season during 10 or 11 weeks he threw 14 td's for 9 int's, only a few qb's have those kind of numbers during his second season, also that year the o-line was horrible, this year with a good o-line and a great rb THE RAM will be great.

I support the Redskins. I support Ramsey, I support all of our players. The only thing that I want to see is Ramsey get better, and stop making stupid plays.

I will be the loudest voice in the crowd when he does one thing...."throws a ball away when no one is open."

Like I have said before, its not his fault that no one is open, but it is his fault if he throws the ball in there anyway.

I support whoever Joe Gibbs puts on the field. Hell, he could put SKIN_DOMIN8 behind center and I'd support him!! The Redskins are who I support, and if that means supporting Patrick Ramsey, Mark Brunell, or Jason Campbell, then so be it!!

I'm in there too, hoss. I think Patrick has all the tools needed...but needs to get his mind up to game speed. Once he does that, very good things may come our way. But whomever JG puts behind center, I'll support.

Amen.

Ramsey still needs a little more work with his receivers - some of the catches were slightly underthrown/overthrown balls - but his performance against last year's No. 1 defense was enough to show all the haters that he's got some good stuff.

Go Ramsey, go Skins!

Once Patrick gets comfortable, stops pressing, and just plays the game without thinking, he will be great. I have always been a Ramsey supporter. I said last year that Joe should have named him the starter when he took over, and never held the QB competition.

'nuff said and I totally agree - I "support" whoever is playing at whatever time. We have no starters, we are a team and need everyone to just do their jobs as well (or as best) as they can.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I support the team I love no matter who is playing. I do want Ramsey to succeed, like any player on our team.

i don't jump on or off wagons. i haven't really commented or gotten worked up about a lot, but with what i've been quietly assessing is that ramsey lacks the consistency to lead a team successfully.

now it's ok for a young qb to struggle with that, but with what i've seen out of brunell lately i think that he's the better choice to take us to the playoffs. if ramsey was our only qb i wouldn't say anything but i think brunell should play. i wasn't involved in the brunell bashing last year. although he was terrible. the difference between this year and last are night and day.

with our running game (which will be amazing) we need a accurate, consistent, smart qb. does ramsey fit that?

and i'm basing a lot of that out of ramsey's play in this last game. which was supposed to be his best game. he lacks the playmaking ability when things go awry. a lot of his good plays last game could have easily been incompletions if the recievers had not made exceptional plays.

again, i love ramsey. i wish he could be our guy but he's not the qb of a successful nfl team. he'll be gone with the end of his contract, and that makes me sad.

There is a FULL season to be played yet. I will support my team, ALL of my team, every single game.

Patrick showed something to prove his worth but he is nowhere done yet. Nothing like consistency to prove your worth throughout the entire season. Go Patrick!

I have always been pulling for Ramsey to do good and break out of his shell. From what I have observed through preseason I do feel that Brunell is all around more prepaird, confident in himself, and smarter. I do believe Ramsey is improving and I do think he can win us games. I am hoping he gets his confidence up and can lead us into the playoffs.
