I am getting my new tripple LNB and HD DVR installed tomorrow afternoon. I can't wait to see some Skins in HD.
Has any of you cats seen any?

I too have the HD and HD programming package. It seemed like 5 or so, perhaps more, of the Skins games last year were broadcast in HD. It's beautiful....what else can be said.
PatJam - The DirecTV HD package (that includes ESPN HD and a couple other misc. channels) costs only eight bucks or so a month extra. This is needed to watch your Sunday night games. Beyond this cost, and of course the costs of the DirecTV NFL package, the only other cost is the installation of the new dish. Perhaps this is what they were refering to.

Right on....you are going to love it. It's almost like watching in 3-D....so clear, almost like you are there. You'll get your first look at the skins in HD tomorrow night, too. Enjoy!!!
Beat Dallas!!!

Direct TV, Dish Network, or COX Communications??? Help, please.
If you live in the DC area, and don't need Sunday ticket, try this link:

It's a sweet deal from the Dish Network.

As soon as I get my house, hopefully this winter Im going to do as follows.
In my basement Im going to set up a HD projector and get a pull down screen that covers an entire wall.
I have PA speakers that my father used to use for his gigs that are collecting dust. I wish I lived closer to you guys, I'd invite the crew over to watch the game on Sundays.

Chris, check this out: http://www.goosystems.com/index.php?cont=home
It's special paint for turning a wall into a screen.
I've read you can get similar results more cheaply if you get the right color/finish of regular paint.

Sorry Cville, the one I posted is a better deal
for me. It's my site! I get $50 for everyone who gets Dish Network off it. You can also sign up for your own site there, and I get money for that too, plus a percentage for everyone you sign up. A real pyramid scheme.

We discourage "regular" TV at home with the kids. So, we have a crappy tv there.
Most decent sport bars show HD.
Does that mean that the kids will join me in the bar?

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Living in Baltimore, I have to get the sunday ticket football package. They do not televise all skins games on the local networks. The football package does not give you the games in HD. You also have to game additional to get the games in HD. It is a pricey investment but I believe that it is worth it. Here is a breakdown of the Directv pricing for the ultimate fan:
HD reciever 400.00 (you can get them now for 200.00)
Off air antenna 20.00
Sunday ticket package 180.00
Game Fan package 50.00
new dish w. tri lnb free w/ install
Monthly HD programming 9.99 month
I think that covers it but you have to subscribe to the Game Fan in order to get the football games in HD. If you live outside of the DC area and want to watch the games in style, this is the way to go!!

HDTV receivers and DVRs are free with this deal:
http://www.vmcsatellite.com/?aid=91785
But if you need Sunday Ticket you are out of luck. This is Dish Network.

Or, you can get your free Dish Network recievers and installation from here:

Which is my Dad's site (not an affiliate link, though).

If you are in the DC area, you don't need NFL Sunday Ticket for the Skins, and you can't get the skins in HD on the Sunday Ticket, if you are in the DC market.
I was in VA. last weekend so I got to see the Bengals game in HD on my Dad's new 42 inch plasma.
All I can say is "wow", I wasn't buying the hype over high-def before, but after seeing it for myself I was very, very impressed.
The details you can see are amazing, I almost felt like I was right on the field at times.
