Mitchell, Green and Moseley: Vote

Post by BossHog »

Got a special request from Brian Mitchell to vote for him on a Today Show contest.

Here's the deal... the Today show has been ding a wedding thing... they are picking every element of a wedding from the bride's dress, to the groom's tux, right down to the flowers.

I was told that the people getting married are Redskin fans so the Today Show had former Redskins come out today and model the tuxedos. The three Redskins were Brian Mitchell, Darrell Green, and Mark Moseley. On the Today Show site you can vote for which guy looks the best in their tuxedo... there's a fourth guy there too but I forgot to ask who he was. But don't vote for him anyway... he's not a former Redskin.

So I'm asking all the peeps to go to the website and vote for BM... don't let DG win this in a popularity contest vote. BM looks way slicker in his tux with the white tie on white shirt and besides... BM knows how to get the word out to the Redskin fans.

You go to the NBC Today show, wedding section of the website here:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8544668

You will see 4 pics of guys in tuxes:

Ralph Lauren tux: Darrell Green
Platinum Barrington tux: Mark Moseley
Red Sleeve: Brian Mitchell
J. Crew: unknown guy

Just click on the guy to view the tux details and you will see a Vote button on the page that opens up.

There is a video of the segment on the same page as the 4 pics... look for "Video: Sarah and mark 2005". Click there and you can watch a stream of the whole segment with all 3 Redskins.

You can only vote once and you can only vote today... so vote BM in right now!!!

This public service announcement was made possible by Brian Mitchell.

I voted... about how long does the "I voted for Brian Mitchell" sticker take to come in the mail?

Moseley looked like the guy who hosts the PBS July 4th special. :puke:

B-Mitch got my vote. His did look the sweetest, though the J. Crew guy gives him a run for his money, IMO.

Owns THN? Sorry, we're not acquirable. :-"

Oh you said owes not owns... sorry.

... hard to think of BM owing any Redskin fan anything after the effort he put in for the burgundy and gold.

And if BM stops by THN, we're honored to have him. I'll try and set up an interview with him and give y'all the shake down on all that he's doing these days. Life after football is very busy for BM.

We call Brian Mitchell B-Mitch...what would we call him if his last name was Itchell...???? Just curious.

I voted.

I voted for BM. Now that I think of it....with this vote I've spent more time planning this wedding than I did for my own wedding.

Greetings from NYC: I will vote shortly. Nothing is too good for the man that shot Liberty Valance.

I voted for Brian, because you asked me to, Boss. But, I thought Darrell looked the sharpest in his tux.

... and Brian Mitchell brings home the gold!!!!

The Today show just revealed the Red Sleeve as the winner... so Brian beat out Darrell. They didn't reveal the final results of the poll, but thanks to everyone that voted.

They actually had the couple go to Fed Ex Field and Lavar come out to mac the tux.

And apparently the 4th guy was the groom's father.

Thanks for the update. Thank the Lord Moseley did not win. I would not wish the tuxedo he wore on my worst enemy!!! :puke:

I would have voted for Brian Mitchell just because he honestly looks sharper. But I would have found it hard to vote against Mark Moseley...the memory is too strong of Moseley kicking that last-second field goal, in the slush, to beat the Giants and break the record for consecutive FG's made.

Ah, well.

This topic reminds me of a wedding I attended of another huge Redskins fan. He had Sonny Jurgenson and Sam Huff in attendance and actually played Hail to Redskins when he and his bride marched back down the aisle at the conclusion of the wedding.

Man, that was sweet! The ball was partially blocked at the line, too. I was living in NYC at the time, and watching with a friend who kept trying to put a hex on Moseley. I had to run between two rooms so that I wouldn't be in the same room as my friend when he got the kick off. I'll always have fond memories of Moseley, the last of the straight-away kickers.
