The Nemo Watch

Post by crazyhorse1 »

This thread is for the discussion of Nemo only. I'm one Nemo watcher who thinks Nemo might be a line banger for the ages, a point producer from short yardage plunger the like of which the league has not for some decades seen. Nemo the Lion, Nemo the Destroyer, Nemo the Manificent. Nemo from the Citadel.

I'm gonna cut and paste my thread from TS here about Nemo

See I think that perhaps they relied on Nemo a bit too much during that drive. It was give the balll to Nemo, pass the ball to Nemo, give the ball to Nemo........OMG he fumbled. lol I mean he's a rookie give him the ball 6 times in a row and it's gotta be wearing on him. He is a great player and he will make a good addition but in no way is he ready to start and that's what the fumble showed.

Two TDs in two games, that's exactly what we need.

Yep. He is going to be great for this team, especially in short yardage situations. However here are two pointers he needs to know.

1. Get out of bounds. On the last play when he fumbled, he could have just stepped out of bounds. But being the warrior that he is (which I like) he pounded his way for 2 extra yards which leads me to point number 2.

2. Hold on to the ball after contact. Last week when he lost it, it was when he hit the ground. Yesterday, he was about to hit the ground when he lost it. However I'm sure a couple of F Bombs from one of the coaches can fix that.

Overall, I think he was our steal of the draft (7th Round!)

I had the pleasure of sitting behind Nemo's Mother & Grandmomther last night at the game... they were so excited and his Grandmother told me no doubt he was going to make it... They were freshly new skins fans, so they where shocked when the Hogettes sat two rows in front of them... The mom turned around to me when one came down, and said he must be the fan of the game... I said, "Yeah, he's probably got four others like him coming.." They thought I was kidding, and kept getting shocked as each one of the Hogettes trickled in... I explained to them that they have been with the skins for a very long time...

They were good sports during the game, and getting excited and high five-ing even when Nemo wasn't in there...

needless to say, they seem like a great family and I'm rooting for him to make the team too...

Don't make me do an archive search to prove it, but I was his first fan as well... Mr. Washington being another "I'm his first fan" player.

See? It DOES matter to be a player's first fan on a website.

Nemo the fumbler. How disheartening was that? Reminded me too much of last season. So close but yet so far.

Oh my God. One fumble and you're labeling him a fumbler. You are hilarious. You have failed to see his production for us. You never apprectiate good performances.

2 touchdowns in two games. I'm happy about that.

Nemo's gonna be great for us.

I've left boards before for banning members like you...

Looking back, I envy them.

Your post(I can insult the post, not member, right?) is absolute stupidity upon the fact he fumbled ONCE in two games. Your favorite RB, Julius Jones, fumbled more than once... He is like Tike Barber/Ahman Green.

Yes. I think so. On the other hand, I don't think it's a matter of starting. I think it's a matter of who's going to be the short yardage back-- the new specialty back the Redskins have found it necessary to create. I think Nemo has found a role. If Rock has a role, I think it's behind Nemo as short yardage back, behind Betts at RB, and on special teams. At least, I hope so. I want to see Rock on the team. What I don't want to see is Rock in short yardage instead of Nemo. That would be a ridiculous mistake, I think.

Nemo is gonna be great for the skins.

Give him some credit aside from the fumbles, hes producing and thats all you can really ask for from a guy coming out of the late rounds like he did...

The Skins ran NEMO on that dive play for the TD on Friday night and I thought to myself..."There goes Gerald Riggs again"

Nemo has been a great player for us this offseason. That fumble in the last game shouldn't warrant such bad remarks. As I recall he was stood up while he was driving for xtra yards and fell victim to the notorious double team strip. Correct me if i'm wrong but do the coaches run drills specifically to help make guys more aware of the DT Strip?

GO NEMO!

Post by Honcho_44 »

Hey guys! New to the board, but when I saw Nemo in the title I had to opine.

I went to North Charleston High and got to play with him a few times (scrimmage only, I was only in 9th grade so I was on JV). Even back in high school he was awesome to watch. At The Citadel he was a great player, and now... the Redskins. If any player has a chance to make an impact, it's Nehemiah.

I'm kinda biased, but he deserves a spot on that team. Two touchdowns in two games is good proof. However, he is a rookie, and will make rookie mistakes. Fumbles are gonna happen, especially to a rook... but I've never seen anyone who worked as hard to improve himself and after seeing his first two appearances, I'm convinced. Nemo deserves a spot on this team!

Oh yeah, and I already got my custom made Broughton jersey, I can't walk anywhere around here without someone stopping me and asking about it.

nemo=machine...all he needs to do is wear something to absorb the insane amount of sweat on his arms and i guarantee you he will hold onto the ball. he is a beast and a half and with some practice and experience, don't be surprised if portis doesn't see touches inside the 15
Sean, may you always rest in peace and look down on us with the same love that we look up to you.

Welcome to the board Honcho_44
I agree Nemo has pretty much earned a spot on the team. I think Rock's special teams play is keeping him in the hunt, but we have found our short yardage back.

Welcome to the board Honcho!

Several of us have been cheering him on. I know Earnest Byner was mad at the team during the draft because he thought we should have picked him earlier. It was a steal for sure.

Byner is going to work some magic on this guy. Go Nemo!

A third great outing for Nemo-- this time against the Steelers. Fourty six yards in a quarter. Go Nemo.

Say, that figures out to 184 yards in a game, doesn't it? Not bad for a rookie.
