Ramsey vs. Former Redskin QBs
First, I support Ramsey as our starter and hope he leads the skins to a winning season. However, the thought crossed my mind this past weekend while watching Gus Frerotte play for Miami and I wonder what others think.
Would you, if you could, trade Ramsey for any former Redskin QB who is still playing in the NFL and who? In other words, do you think any QBs we let get away would be a better option than Ramsey?
For discussion purposes, let's not consider salary cap nor the philosophy of various coaches we've had, just whether or not you think the one that got away is better than the one we got now.

You know that all the former QB,s your talking about did start their development in a Redskins camp but in my opinion those camps were so much stable.First thing Spurrier and Gibbs did was bring in QB's such as Mathews,Brunnel. Each camp was different.I hope with time to develop Ramsey is going to be a force to reckon with lets hope it's in a Redskins uniform, not a Brad Johnson wearing a Tampa uniform,or Trent Green wearing a Kansas City uniform,or a Stan Humphries wearing a Chargers uniform and yes Ferotte in Miami. Ya if you compare those guys to Ramsey in this stage of his career they all look better but really shouldn't they ?

That says a lot to me right there.
The Chiefs weakness is on defense not offense imo.
I don't remeber Rich being a Skin so I won't include him but my list is as follows:
1. Trent
2. Gus

I'm surprised nobody said Tony Banks! j/k
Ramsey still looks bad to me, hope he pulls his head out quick! I thought he should have been #1 a year ago - all through camp. Now, Brunell, who I'm surprised is even still with the team - is out-playing Ramsey... that's not saying much.
I like what I see in Campbell though! he won't start, but he's got great potential.

I haven't looked at Trent Green's "sell-by date", but he would get my vote if he was 32 or younger.

Rich Gannon played in the Petibon year. Rypien hurt his knee in the second or third game, and I wanted Cary Conklin to start. "Let's use the kid!" I remember Gannon as a QB with no arm.
So much for my QB-picking wisdom.
By the way, nice to see your name here, Scooter.

Get a clue, its not Trent Green's fault that he has no defense. The loss to the Colts was not Green's, you should win plenty of games scoring 31, it wasn't Trent Green's fault that the Colts scored on every possesion and never had to punt, and missing the playoffs was not the No.1 Offenses fault. You obviously know nothing about Football and I consider Ramsey a pretty good player for one reason. If you say he is bad, it must mean he is a pretty good player.

Just to point out, our defense we so good that if we could have scored at least 21 points in all of our games we would have won 14 games. That goes to show how much a defense comes into play in regards to winning.

I don't quite get what you're trying to say here. It's almost like saying "how sorry is Daunte Culpeper???" Rich Gannon (former Viking) took a Raiders team to the Super Bowl that lost to former Viking Brad Johnson's Bucs team.
