Cerrato
What do all of you think of Cerrato??
If true, that would be the best news I've heard in a long time. Vinny Cerrato does not fit in at all. I wonder does Saint Gibbs have anything to do with it. Picture this conversation between Dan Snyder and Joe Gibbs:
DS: Joe, what do you think of Vinny Cerrato?
JG: Dan, I think he's nothing more than an overpaid ass kisser who likes to hang around with you on Redskins One and smoke cigars all the time. He really doesn't know much about football, and lives by the credo "forget about his personality and his potential, it's all about what he's done in the past". I think he couldn't tell you what potential is if it hit him in the face.
DS: Oh, so what do you think we should do about this Joe?
JG: Well, Dan, I know he's a personal friend of yours, but I think we should get rid of him and bring in a real GM who knows what he's doing. Vinny needs to go.
DS: Oh, well, you're the boss Joe. If you say we should do it, then we'll do it. In fact, you don't even need my blessing for it. Just do it!
JG: Thanks Dan, I knew you'd back off and let me run the show around here. I'll make you glad you did.

Sit back and watch the Redskins.

Wow. It sounds like the Redskins are doing a major clean up in Washington. It's about time this has happened. It finally looks like Gibbs and his staff has finally brought in the much needed wisdom that Washington has lacked since Gibb's left in 11 years ago.
Let us all gather around and drink the
ey-Aid of the Redskins.

I think the problem with Vinny is that he gets a lot of credit for things that are normal things a GM is supposed to do.
What irks me is how he has mishandled the defensive line since he has been here, Vinny has never addressed a long term solution to a long term problem - DLine.
Last year he got rid of Big Daddy and Gardner after they had a GREAT 2002 season. All would have been ok until Vinny went into the regular season with "Mini-Mites" (as LaVar called them). The regular season is no place to test experiments and each week we tested different rotations we got ran down.
Just name 1 good thing Vinny has done. Maybe the Coles deal? Remember the Arrington/Samuels deal was Charlie Casserly's baby.

I guess what I don't like is that he came in when Charley Casserly left - when who should have left was Norv. CS had done a respectable job and was a Redskin through and through. Vinnie has just never impressed me. Sometimes you just get a feeling and mine is he is just too much of a DS kiss ass. Sorry that's just how I feel.
