David Haugh, of the Chicago Tribune, reports Chicago Bears general manager Jerry Angelo confirmed Monday, Feb. 16, that the release of Bears DE Phillip Daniels could happen before the NFL free-agency period begins. Daniels' cap figure for the 2004 season is $5.6 million

Hey guys I'm new here and I'm a huge skins fan.....been that way since I was 5 years old. I'm from Illinois so unfortunately all I get to see are Bears and the lousy Packer games(can't afford nfl ticket) Anyways I saw Daniels play last year and he sure isn't worth 5.6 mil. He only had 40 something tackles and 2.5 sacks. He's not a bad run stopper. I really don't think he's the type of guy we're looking for, he's pretty lazy and about the same caliber of our DEs from last year. Also in his 8 year career he's never broke double digits for sacks.

and thanks for the info to be truthfull I've never heard of Daniels so I say pass.
