Macromedia flash player question

Post by Brandon777 »

I went to the Macromedia flash webpage and downloaded the free version. It said it was installed successfully, but I don't see the icon anywhere. When I downloaded other players such as Real Player, it appears as a icon on my desktop and in my programs. I can't find Macromedia Flash anywhere. The only thing I see different is that a Yahoo toolbar is now up. How do I know if I have it or not?

Well, go to a flash site (like the main page of this site) and see if it works.

Flash Player is essentially just a browser plug-in, and not really a stand-alone program.

Thanks. I guess I have it because I can watch the cartoons here. They run perfectly. But when I go to Redskins.com, I can't watch the videos. They come on for a second, the go to buffering. Is that because I'm on dial-up?

What browser are you using? The new redskins site doesn't seem to play well wiht Firefox, especially on the Mac.

Also, I think the videos on Redskins.com are in the Real Media format, not flash (which they could be! Flash video is a much better option, IMO).

Redskins.com TV uses Macromedia Flash Player now. It used to use Real Player.

I have dial-up and the videos load the way they load for you, 777.

Thanks. That sucks. I used the real player also before they changed it. I guess they assume that everyone has high speed internet now. I wish Redskins.com would give you the choice of using Flash player or real player so us dial-up folks can watch the videos too.
