Your thoughts on Jason Campbell

I want Ramsey to succeed and to do well but I have no more excuses for him.

I think we are very lucky to have this kid.

I also think it's still early and hopefully Patrick gets as much time as he needs and can make the adjustments that the coach needs to be as good as we need to be a decent offense this year.

I think that the QB situation is "okay" not great and we need to give as much time to the QBs to get ready as they deserve. In order that would be Patrick, Mark and some time (a little) to Jason, but, we do not want to take any time away from the other 2 in order to get more looks at our future QB. He will get that time in the future training camps.

Hopefully not this year or next as that would mean we are not doing well with Patrick. IMO Joe feels that Patrick and Mark can get the job done as he would have made a change by now if not.

Jason has made this selection by Joe look very good, so far.

he looked good and has the tools to be a star,but time will tell,hopefully we can hold on to him long enough,if ramsey plays up to par.

He looked better on his second series, but his first stunk. He underthrew a wide-open (by 20 yards) receiver because he threw off his back foot. Then he missed the handoff to the running back, at our own 22 yard line, on the next play. That wasn't too stellar. He looked OK running the 2 minute drill until he threw the INT on the last play. It was at best an up and down night for him. I'm sure he wasn't proud of his performance. As much as I hate to admit it, Brunell looked the most comfortable running the offense, but I never got to see Patrick play.

That wasn't all on him though, Combs should have caught that ball instead of knocking it straight into the Carolina players' hands. He also drove the field on his second drive until Combs fumbled into the endzone.

His leadership on the field was amazing, the mechanics were very nice...

His throwing motion is downright nasty. :puke:

I must say, I like the kid, and he showed great potential for the future of this team, but his throwing motion was very distracting to me, almost awkward.

At first, I thought it was because he is too tall, or something, but then the Washington Post confirmed that I wasn't the only one who noticed......right? 8-[

"I don't see quirky. I see an awesome throwing motion," Coach Joe Gibbs said. "It's the same one we saw in college. What I've learned over the years working with different guys -- all those guys threw the ball differently. But the point was they had excelled, they'd been great in college . . . when they'd thrown 10 million balls. To me, Jason has a good throwing motion. I like his throwing motion."

I am personally a big fan of his throwing motion. It's very fluid and most importantly he gets his arm high and releases the ball high. That's a lot better than a guy who sidearms it. It is not completely orthodox but I fail to see what's wrong. Instead of bringing the ball back low, he cocks his arm back with the ball high in the air. He can do that because he is flexible and that gives him a lot of leverage and on his followthrough he can snap his wrist a lot and get a tight spiral. A lot of it is because he's tall and has long arms. Because of that he gets the ball way out there. Other people can't really make this move and so they don't, I actually think it may be better than the more commonly accepted mechanics. I think his throwing motion is actually quite pretty.

He has an unusual throwing motion but he is comfortable with it, and Gibbs doesn't want to change it.
