"I've got a fever. And the only prescription is more cowbell."
HAAha, he answered my question....
but not the Skins q's
Sterling, VA: Wilbon!
Why doesn't anyone bring up the fact that T.O. has NOT made it through a season healthy in at least 2 years in a row (collar bone in 2003, ankle in 2004).
I always hear contract demands laughed at when previous "injury prone" players demand them. Why not the same for TO?
Thanks!
Michael Wilbon: Bingo! Great point.
but not the Skins q's
burp.

Looks like Cville hit Wilbon's achilles heel...he got pissed!
That is, of course, if this is Cville's question...

C'ville, Va.: I know it's just preseason, but it was a football game. The starting offense looks bad. The defense, banged up as they are, aren't getting a lot of chances to play together. The secondary is particularly worrisome. Ramsey has no confidence -- he looks scared in the pocket.
How do you fix all of this in a month?
Michael Wilbon: I don't want to hear, it's preseason, but...How long were the starters out there Saturday night? We don't know how many of the guys who played the final three quarters will even make the team. So, don't tell me about looking scared in the pocket. You have no idea of what the guy is feeling in the pocket. Are you Vince Lombardi? Bill Walsh? Let's not get carried away. Sit back and watch the course of what's happening...Don't try to make declarations about anything...

This is the most important thing he said:
He's absolutely right, give Ramsey more time. I can't believe all the people who think one game is all that matters. Look at Tiger, he made the cut on the number and then ended up finishing third. It can sometimes take some time to get going and really show what you can do. That's why players practice and warmup.

The main thing from this is that as Mike says we really cannot take too much from this game. This is the pre-season and nobody on either side looked that good or that bad. Yes the starters may have been out played but we nver really had our "starters" in there on both offense and defense and almost certainly not with any scheme that we are likely to see on 9/11.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

We're only a couple hours from DC, and there are a lot of fans down here.
Besides, I'm not even FROM Charlottesville, I only moved here a few years ago.
Yeah, but I mean because they listed it as C'ville, instead of Charlottesville......anyway; getting way off topic here...
