Eagles Publicity
Could it be possible to talk about any other team on ESPN or ESPNEWS.
It is getting to be ridiculous, Did the media forget that the other 31 teams are in camp too. I have not heard one update for another team outside of Local News since the beginning of Camp.
I have done the math and every 3 times you turn on ESPNEWS it is about the Eagles. What about Hines Ward and John Abraham what about Cedric Benson and Pacman Jones? Is everyone else dealing with this or am I just parannoyed?

I miss you 21.
God I wish we had a second round pick.

They are all holding out for more money (that happens every year).
Ward will get his, Abraham won't and the rookies will get done sooner or later.
T.O. on the other hand has tried to HOLD IN for more money (this doesn't happen too often). McNabb as seemingly decided to match T.O. word for word (they are talking about each other and how they aren't talking) I don't know what that does for contract talks, but it gives ESPN a break from bashing the Skins

You know I saw McNabb speak on ESPN tonight and was kind of thought of some things:
1)For McNabb, who seems to be a class guy, to speak out about TO in the media now must signal that they will no longer be team-mates.
2)NFL Live talked about preseason games and the TO situation some. The preseason games were a nice change...I can't wait until tonight to see what they say about the Skins.
3)His english wasn't great and didn't sound as intelligent as he usually does.
4)Lastly, what do you see happening if the hole TO situation goes with him not playing for the team (in one capacity or another). If he is traded, the Eagles will take a cap hit. If they do what the Bucs did to Keyshawn last year, they will still have his money on the cap, right? If this is the case, does that mean that Philly would actually consider making this a long-term stand-off? Although it is completely unrealistic and will never happen, I think it would send an amazing message to players if the Eagles could find a way to make sure that TO never plays football again because he's under contract for them. He would still be paid, unfortunately, even if he was "Keyshawned".

Actually... i love the fact that the focus is on someone else this offseason.... I believe the media circus and the soap opera during the offseason and camp are huge distractions... and it's been nice and pretty much quite since Coles left...
So they don't have to focus on us for all I care... that way we can creep into the season maybe and surprise a few folks...

CurveBall - "It might be YOUR biggest game of the year but it really doesn't seem to be as big a deal for Dallas fans anymore."
Oopsies! What's that taste like?

To quote the local paper - TO has "only one option, shut up and play. That's because there are son many land mines and booby traps built into the contract TO signed with the Eagles last year that even the NFL Players Association is worried that it has little recourse if the Eagles Suspend him............
That's because when Owens signed last year with the Eagles the team made sure there were all kinds of clauses in his contract ensuring that he behaved............ "

Don't know who Joe Banner is but he's right....
He tried that - that's why he can't stop talking now.
When he was in camp he wasn't talking to anyone and he was playing the injury card. If he had sat down and talked to teammates and the FO things might have been different and Joe Banner would be stabbing in the dark.
The language in his contract is one of the main reasons the NFLPA advised against him signing it in the first place.
Back to Joe .... He can make that statement all he wants because nothing will change. If T.O. doesn't turn off the soap operas and act like a teammate then the Iggle WILL sit him for the year.
If that happens this year may not count as a contract year and we can start all over again next off-season

Yeah I checked him out after that post... Executive VP/Chief Operating Officer ... I'd say, he's qualified to make that statement

even during highlights of the falcons-ravens game, they were focusing on TO and instead of talking about how mike vick got his ass handed to him by deion sanders twice and what the teams that were playing need to do, they sat there and broke down TO siting in the stands.
"well ya see here, TO is sitting in section 124, row 12, seat 17, just waiting for the cotton candy guy. but, then mike vick drops back and he couldn't care less about cotton candy, he has his mouth open, OH MY GOD, this is a travesty he should just shut it and play. Back to you, Stu"
shut up about the eagles, no one cares anymore, and quite frankly its becoming the same old story. i wonder how long it will take them to start reporting when donovan mcnabb's dog takes a crap on his replica McNabb tree...probably not long.

direct quote from SportsTalk 980 plug:
"Follow the Eagles' misery, only on SportsTalk 980"
now im not sure if they are doing that for redskins fans to feel good, or if they are doing it to plug the eagles, but whatever it is i find it funny that they would waste ad space on it. most people are sick of hearing about TO and his ridiculous self.
