Watching GB v. SD on ESPN?

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Watching GB v. SD on ESPN?

Post by cvillehog »

Both teams look a little rough, but, man I'm glad it's almost football season again! :)

To me, because it's ESPN, it's getting on my nerves.

It's hard to concentrate on the game and the players when THE ONLY THING they talk about is Brett Favre.

It's has been irritating me all night.

And now in the 2nd quarter, when the backups start to trickle in, what do they talk about? Terrell Owens.

Very amateurish.

I want to watch preseason to see what unnoticed players will make a name for themselves. Not the same crap that ESPN has been showing non-stop for the past 6 months.

However, I have been impressed by Michael Turner and Darren Sproles. They have been turning it on like they did in college.

I'm just glad to see football on tv. My son is cheering for the Packers though.

Keading missed 3 field goal attempts from the 44, 45, and 46 yard lines late in the 4th. They would have won the game.

Instead, the Pack get the ball back after the third attempt and Longwell connects on a 53 yarder in the rain.

Gotta feel bad for Nate.

I laughed seeing Todd Franz out there. Guys like Franz actually made the team and played in years past before we started spreading the money around to acquire quality DEPTH.

I love Joe Gibbs.

Yeah I can't wait for our game against Carolina.

The only problem is, NFL Network is airing it like 3 days late, so I'll already know the score and all that good stuff.

But I'm kind of excited because I know how NFL Network does it, for one half they use the home team's announcers and then the second half they use the away team's announcers, so I kind of want to here how Larry Micheal does during play by play (it is Larry Micheal right)

I swear the whole first 2 hours is filled up by the broadcasters sticking their tongues up Favre's :moon: , whether it's Madden and Micheals and especially those butt-holes on ESPN. I mean what the eff Scott just probably had his season ended and those retards are talking about Favre. We effing get it, Favre is a great quaterback now get off his nuts and call the effING GAME!

air_hog,
I don't think Larry Michael does the broadcasts anymore, since he left Westwood One to go work for the Redskins (he's the guy runing Redskins.com TV).

Bummer, oh well.

But you guys are right, they slurped Favre up like a Slurpee. I remember a few years ago when it was Vicks debut against the Panthers. I don't think the ESPN crew said another name besides Mike Vick. I blame Mike Patrick
