Darrell Green coaching High School Football..

Post by Skins2theBowl »

Darrell Green is coaching for the Bishop O'Connell Knights of Arlington, VA. He is not the head coach but he has been attending summer workouts regularly and will play a hand as a consultant/assistant coach throughout the summer training camp and into the season. His son plays for the knights so I assume thats why he is out there. Gee wouldnt that be nice to have a HOF player/legend be your high school football coach?
Prediction: 9-7 in 2005 and just squeezing into the playoffs

This is actually the school that produced Gibran Hamdan, one of my favorite guys. So I think this is a good thing.
Whenever I start to get blue, I just breathe!

My favortie line from the Simpsons:

Flanders: "Looks like someone is having a pre-rapture party!"

Homer: "No Flanders, it's a meeting of gay witches for abortion , you wouldn't be interested!"

It's a good thing for O'Connell. It's a good school and had many friends go there so I was only messing with the boooo comment.

It must be crazy having a 44 or so year old being able to run ur teammates in highschool. My father couldnn't out run me if I was going backwards!

I saw Jim Burt coach the Bergen Catholic defense just after he retired from the Giants. Burt is a lot bigger than Green, but it was intimidating just to see the guy, gray hair slicked back, on the other sidelines.

Congratulations, O'C.

(Although I half believe that Green could suit up and play for the Redskins again...)

I know, Darrell Green is still so fast. Did you see him in the Fastest man competition before the Pro Bowl and the game with Marino.

Yea, he would have came in 2nd or 3rd in the competition but he had a slow start. He still showed a bit of his closing speed and kept up with these guys. That goes to show how fast he was in his prime!

Doesn't one of his kids go there? Father coaching son? Will we see the student best the teacher?

Man that is awesome for the kids over there. That is like a dream come true. I hope they appreciate what they have now. I wished I was coached by a future HOF growing up.

When he was still playing I used to see him at the field house at GMU. He would be smoking their track team. It was awesome to watch.
