An all-white season?

Post by RedskinsFreak »

It seems as though the Cowboys will be wearing a "Classic Navy" alternate uniform for the MNF game against the Redskins in Week 2.

That probably means the Redskins will be wearing white in Dallas for the first time since who-knows-when and could result in the Redskins wearing white for all 16 games in the 2005 season.

There are three road opponents who have shown a tendency to wear white at home early in the season -- TB, ARZ and PHI. But TB is in Week 10, with the others later than that.

I'd be disappointed if it were to come to pass.

You?

i can't stand when the skins wear the burgandy jerseys... i've always been a white jersey guy.
May #21 never be worn again by another Redskin but may every Redskin play like they are wearing #21 on their backs.

I really like the burgundy jerseys. Marty did too, thought they were a strong color and we wore them all year when he was here.

I don't really care for the red pants. I prefer the white on white, but Gibbs is such a traditionalist, you know we'll never get to see that again.

What I would love to see the yellow pants again, like George Allen back in the day.

I too hate the burgundy jerseys.

They white jersey's look great but only with the burdundy pants.

What about wearing a solid yellow/gold top for dark jersey games? Would that be out of the question?

Unfortunately, we haven't seen any winning unis around these parts since 1999.

Actually if we win the first game in whatever we will be wearing. I wouldn't care if we wore it until we lost. I don't care if they even wash it. Maybe I'm a lil superstitous.

Nice job nc43hog. Those were the days. How many hours do you suppose Sonny and Billy worked out to get those bodies in that good of shape.

For me the white jerseys and burgundy pants = Redskins.

I wasn't a fan when Marty made the switch, and when Spurrier couldn't make up his mind and seemed to switch week to week.

The white jerseys are simple, and they look great all muddy and grass stained!

never see the burgundy jerseys? That would be a complete and utter shame

We should be seeing the Burgundy Jerseys 8 times a season, but oh no, all these coaches like the whiiiiiite jerseys...I'm sick of it I tell you, sick of it.

Granted, we as Redskins fans have been taught to fear the burgundy jerseys because 1 too many big losses happened on national TV while wearing the burgundy jerseys, but they look sooo much better. Please Joe, give us some dark jersey games please!!!!!

It's just coincidence...really...

I like the solid burgundy helmets from back in the day!

I wouldn't mind seeing them adopt the hot/cold approach used by about a third of the league -- white at home in Sept. and Oct., then dark the rest of the way.

That would, in most years, mean about 5 games out of 16 in the burgundy jerseys (the last 4 home games and the one at Dallas).

Even though I like the white-jersey look better, after 16 straight games I'll probably be sick of it for a while.

At least we'll get to see the burgundy jerseys this week as Carolina wears white at home in the pre- and early season.
