Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

Whats the deal with this? I can't seem to view the link from work and I need to know what they're doing together.

I think it's total CRAP. Extremeskins has somehow gotten in because they know someone no doubt. Too bad they didn't care who actually provided fair coverage.

I actually describe it as flashy and trashy. Trashy for the trash talking that goes on there. Oh well to each his or her own and my home is thehogs.net.

Maybe I'm just blind...but I don't see the ExtremeSkins link on Redskins.com.

If Redskins.com did their homework, they would have concluded that this site provides much more quality in the message boards...but I digress.

It's on Redskins.com TV. It won't load for me so I don't know what they are saying.

Yeah I knew about this... I'm actually pretty bitter... but the entire reasaon they did this was becasue they have 30,000 members....29,0000 which have visited the board once and have never posted.
I love the site, I do.... it's great... were all a SKINS family... but theHOGS.net is a site with pure class and design.
In my humble Opinion I feel this site should be number one, most recognized and marketed to the top.
best members, great topics and comradely.

Only reason I look at that site is too look at the thousands of conversations... One here or there is nice, but you cannot find ANYTHING there. Unless you're there and have like 3,000 posts, noone barely responds to you.

i gotta agree... this site rocks BOSS... this is the best place to rant and rave and act like a lunatic when the skins make me wanna jab my eyes out with a grapefruit spoon.
May #21 never be worn again by another Redskin but may every Redskin play like they are wearing #21 on their backs.

Ive never posted at that site, I only went there to get the movies. I stopped in there today to see what it was like and it just seemed messy to me. It was entirely too cluttered up and wasn't easy to navigate.

The only way I can get close to the skins is via the net and in many years surfing this is the only Island that is worth pitching up at! Hogsnet is class and so are the people who visit it. Redskins.com have mad a blunder but its is there loss!

i think thehogs.net is much better than redskins.com--aside from the videos (which happened to get the organization in trouble anyway), this is the best place to go for news and info, and to talk to my fellow redskins fans--not trying to be arrogant, but we are the BEST fans on the planet, and we all know that redskins.com is worse off for making this move
Sean, may you always rest in peace and look down on us with the same love that we look up to you.

Hail to the Redskins!

I'm sorry so many of you seem to feel this way ... I happen to think this is a GREAT community you all have going here.

Truth is, the way we're looking at this new arrangement is that ALL Redskins fans are about to get a chance to get closer to the team they love. ES is teaming with the Redskins in order to get closer to the inside access/information/perspective that as fans I KNOW we've all craved all along. That holds true for us personally as fans, as well as, I would hope, for Skins fans in general.

I hope people here and on our other brother sites will find that it's okay to remain loyal to their "home" boards and communities, while ALSO allowing themselves to take part in and enjoy the trip into uncharted waters we're about to take as RESKINS FANS with this new arrangement.

Hail to us all.

I don't see any need to be jealous. . .if someone hadn't posted this news on THN then I never would have noticed anyway. If and when I want Redskins news, there is only one website that I go to.

I say, if this is what ES and Redskins.com want, good for them. How can it hurt to have fans being more connected if that's how they feel? What's to stop us to continue doing our thing?

In my opinion, it's nobody's "loss," as I haven't lost a bit of what makes THN special for me. We've got a ton of users who are simply 'lurkers.' They come here because THN provides links to every last news article with any relevance to the Skins. They can also get exclusive, well-written articles done by our staff. And, of course, all the commentary anyone could ask for on our message boards.

Additionally, I know for a fact that the Staff aren't running this website so that they can get special recognition by the Danny. (And I'm not saying that's what ES is doing, by the by). We're all here for one reason, and as far as I can tell nothing about what we are here for has changed. Hail, baby.

Like I said, i think it's fantastic.

But I'm not about to start apologizing for the way this community feels about it. There have been many a harsh word said about this site at ES... I don't take it personally. Neither should you. People are going to be loyal to the people they hang with most.

My 2 cents

I guess Chris Samluels wasn't wearing that jersey enough! :(

Oh well, hopefully Redskins.com helps make ES better.

Personally, I like our autonomy, but I'm happy for ES who seem very happy with their arrangement. Congratulations to all of the staff there that have worked so hard to make ES what it is.

Hope someone got PAID too.

I guess the question is if your affiliated the Redskins are you still considered a "fan site" Congrats to ES. As for me I just think if you want to get closer to the fans...you should allow the fan sites to keep their autonomy while allowing access. Mini-camp was a great example of how well this can work, I thought is was a huge success and a giant step in the right direction.
