Sad news about Brunell

Post by crazyhorse1 »

The word from training camp is that Brunell's passes are accurate and show a zip they didn't have last year. Worse, he's thrown for a few scores. I quake with fear that successful Brunell outings in camp may give Gibbs ideas. If they do, we're in trouble.

Yeah...he's been doing better than last year. The days I was at camp, it seemed like Brunell was INDEED better than Ramsey. I don't know what's up with PRamsey....maybe he's not just working hard..just resting up for the real deal.

It IS scary that Brunell is actually doing kind of well...but if Ramsey can't even do better than Brunell...I guess we're going to HAVE to go with him right?
"I was on the sideline and guys were talking about the score, and then it hit me -- we won by 21. I came in the locker room and I yelled it out, and immediately I just kind of broke down in tears. Because I miss Sean, you know."

God forbid one of our players does well
even if it is Brunnell.
The opinion of 10,000 men is of no value if none of them know anything about the subject.

Are yall sure? I read the Ravens-Redskins scrimmage recap on Redskins.com and it said Brunell was the only Skins quarterback to throw an interception!

I don't think Brunell will start, he can't start, Patrick won't allow it, it is his year!
Whether we're 0-0 or 0-15 I always think we're gonna win even if Brunell is in the game! (Lets hope it doesn't come to that.) -SKINS23beME

I hope it's Patrick's year, but both he and Brunell looked pretty choked. Pat was right back on his rear end and Brunell just coulnd't find a way to pass more than 2 yds.
"The biggest misrepresentation there is that [it's because] Dan's got a lot of money. That's not it," Gibbs said. "We've got a rule. Believe me, if we had no rules, Dan would spend some money."

The Post article said P Ramsey's first past to Cooley was picked off by Ray Lewis. Ramsey said he thought things got better after that. Guess we will see how much improvement there is next Saturday in our first real game against Carolina.

crazyhorse, the content of your post is absurd. Football is NOT about what YOU want, it's about what the coaches think is best for the team. If Joe Gibbs thinks that Brunell is a much better candidate for the job as a result of pre-season, learn to live with it. If Brunell is doing a good job, can there be anything wrong with that? We all plan on seeing Ramsey in the opening game, but what if he as a miserable pre-season and Brunell is better than he ever was? Unlikely, yes, but a possibility nonetheless. This is a prime example of why coaches get paid to coach, not be a fan.

In my eyes, if Brunell has a great pre-season, and Ramsey sucks, then put Brunell in there. Hell, if all three of em suck, put DMac in there. I don't care who they put behind center as long as he's the one that gives the team the best chance to win. This year, that's going to be Ramsey. But, this is the NFL and anything is likely to happen between now and 9/11.

To assert that Brunell looking sharp and crisp is somehow a bad thing for this team is downright ludicrous! Absolutely incredibly ridiculous. This makes all your Anti-Bush posts look normal! I'm afraid it can't do the same for you.
Sit back and watch the Redskins.

SOMETHING MAGICAL IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!

Check your sources Crazy....

Brunell was 4 of 8 for 25 yards and a int
Campbell came in at 5 of 10 for 55 yards and a score
Patrick was 5 of 8 for 37 yards and sacked 4 times.

No reason to consider a change based on anything that happens before next week anyway ...
