Through hours upon hours of game film study, Gibbs believes he has a good handle on the Redskins’ current roster thus far. He says he has identified a core group of players who he feels can be team leaders—similar to the way Art Monk, Gary Clark, Darrell Green and Joe Jacoby were leaders during Gibbs’ first stint with the Redskins.
I'd like to know who he is considering the core group!
Dallas is Dead. And so is anyone else that disrespects the Man!
I'd be willing to bet that our newly aquired Coles is one of them. What a team guy who leaves it all on the field. I wouldn't be too suprised if Smoot was in there too. Who knows? Maybe even LaVar.
Clearly, the core group is as follows.
Bruce Smith
Bryan Barker
Byron Chamberlain
Bernard Holsey
Darrell Russell
It is this group who will provide the leadership and direction the Redskins need most desperately...to the nearest exit !

I hope he watched more than the last two seasons when evaluating them. A lot of our guys have looked bad the last couple of years and I think the coaching (lack of strong leadership) may have contributed to that.
