I think it is best when we play @ 1 because I know I won't miss any of the game because the 1 o'clock game ran slow or went to overtime. BUT for some strange reason I love watching us play @ night. I think the atmosphere @ FedEx Field when we play during the afternoon into the night is awesome just like when we scored our highest output of last season and clobbered the Giants which was a 4 o'clock game. I probably would prefer 4s over 1s but I'm scared I might miss some of the game so 1 o'clock starts wins for me!
Which brings me to my next question? IS ANYONE ELSE TIRED OF HAVING TWO TOKEN PRIMETIME GAMES EVERY YEAR?!?! SURE OUR RECORD ISN'T THE BEST YEAR IN AND YEAR OUT BUT CAN'T WE AT LEAST SNEAK IN ONE MORE PRIMETIME GAME, SPECIFICALLY MNF!
Whether we're 0-0 or 0-15 I always think we're gonna win even if Brunell is in the game! (Lets hope it doesn't come to that.) -SKINS23beME
You have to have a winning record to expect to play primetime, it's all about ratings. As far as primetime nationally telivised games, I'd say we've been pretty lucky to have any of those games, some teams don't get any.
I like the 1 o' clock games the best. Whenever we have a night or a 4 o clock game I tend to waste all my time doing stupid stuff just to passtime until the game starts. When it's at 1 I feel like I can go ahead and do something productive with the rest of my day.
I don't care what time they play as long as they win ! I think 1 p.m. games are better for me though as we get home at a reasonable hour and can regroup and get ready for work the next day.

1pm is better for me. Like SkinsChic, we get home at a more reasonable hour to prepare for the next day. It's usually 2 hrs after the game that we get home, so the earlier the game the better. Plus, who doesn't enjoy cracking open a beer at 9am during tail gating?
People may not remember exactly what you did
or what you said....
~BUT~
they will ALWAYS remember how you made them feel.
1pm is locked into my memory from childhood as the hour for football on Sunday. It just feels right. . .and I like to eat sandwiches and chips while watching the Skins, not dinner. . . .because I can snack on chips all afternoon. . .
None of the above. I prefer either Sunday Night or, better, Monday Night Football. I love the attention of national coverage. For some reason, I feel that the players know that the entire nation and everybody abroad from Canada to Argentina to Asia and the Europe are watching. They want to shine in front of the world. I also like the music and hooplah.
Besides, -anything- that leaves Collingworth-less out of the picture is already better in my book.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!
Start drinking at 8:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m.. Well....that doesn't matter.
I suppose I prefer the 1:00 p.m. game (even though I have to wake up at 6:00 a.m. to get there in time to "really" tailgate) because it will allow me to come home and watch the Sunday night game.

1 is much better for all of the reasons listed above. However, the main reason it is better is because over the past few years (at least under Spurrier) we were a MUCH better team playing at 1 than at 4. Not sure why but I remember seeing that stat last year.

1 meshes better with the kiddies nap times. it's much more difficult to watch the game whilst continually shouting 'hey! get that out of your brother's nose.'

I think Chris was referring to the TV coverage in Baltimore and not the game site!
He's probably still a "heretic" but he's a Redskin fan too!
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
Home games = 1 pm is my preference. Get to the stadium around 9 am, throw some brats on the grill, grab a cold one, and listen to/watch the pregame show. After the game, I'll sit around, fire the grill up once again, grab another cold one, and watch the other 4 pm games while the traffic thins out a bit.
Night games are fun in the early fall when the weather's still cooperative; but a cold, Sunday-night game can make Mondays tough - especially if we lose.
If the games are at 1 you have to get up early for the tailgate. Most of the time I am hella hungover from Saturday night. If its a 4 o'clock game it gives me extra time to sleep and fight off the hangover. Im going with 4 o'clock games.
Prediction: 9-7 in 2005 and just squeezing into the playoffs
1 o'clock is much better for those of us TV viewers. just like someone else said, if it doesn't start til 4, i will probably fart around all day waiting for it to start, and then by the time it's over the day is practically over. if it starts at 1, there's still time to get some things done.
but i am also in chris's boat- i live in westminster MD (the ravens training camp is about 3 miles down the road, their hotel is about 1/2 mile down the road) and for some ludicrous reason, we get the DC affiliates of NBC, ABC, and CBS but do not get their FOX! and if there is a ravens game on CBS at the same time, the baltimore FOX station usually WON'T show the redskins game. it's infuriating.
Greetings from NYC: 1pm is a good time for us. We can get home to NYC by 10pm after a 1pm start. As for drinking beer in the Red Parking Lot at 9am you folks mmust know my wife!!! Fot the 8pm games and the MNF we need to spend an extra night in the hotel. I cannot wait for opening day!!!
