okay guys...
The take that I get on this Champ Situation is that he really doesn't want to be a redskin. If he really wanted to be a redskins then this could be worked out but he seems to be more about the money than anything else right now.
I read a post on sports talk on the washingtonpost.com and it sumed up the Champ situation perfectly. It said, "The days of collecting stars are over...time to build a TEAM." I could not agree with this statement more. Indivudual stars don't win championships, teams do! If Bailey leaves we're still sittin in good shape boys!
We don't have to spend the money, we can use it on other needs, in addition to the money we'll get from Bruce Smith.
Honestly I would take a first and and a third for Champ Bailey as well as a player. You pick up to two draft picks, have the fifth and sixth overall, plus have more money to go out and sign a corner who is interested in being an asset to the team then getting paid.
Gibbs is a Team guy, he understands what it's going to take to win. GO Skins!!
Time to move on....

You should read some (or all) of the other posts around the site. This topic has been beaten to death.
ps. I think we're looking at a first and second rounder, as well as a player for a trade.
