Drink more beer!!

Post by NikiH »

Looks like we all need to start doing our part! ;-)

NEW YORK — Anheuser-Busch Cos Inc. (BUD), the largest U.S. brewer, said Wednesday quarterly profit fell a greater-than-expected 9.9 percent as volume dropped in its home market and costs rose.

The company, with brands including Bud Light (search) and Michelob, said it expected profit would continue to fall for the rest of the year. The beer industry has suffered in recent years as consumer tastes have shifted toward cocktails and wine.

We're not the only ones that need the football season to start!
God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.
We'll miss you, Joe.

Maybe it's because I stopped drinking Bud? I used to drink it all time… well no, not ALL the time but it was my beer of choice when I was having a beer. Now when I want a cheap (relatively speaking) I buy Yuengling Lager. My favorite beer is Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or Sierra Nevada Stout. There are a million beers that are better then Bud. For MD football games I like to get some of the beers from Frederick Brewing Co. like Wild Goose Oatmeal Stout.

Obviously it’s my fault that Budweiser missed its numbers but I think there are more factors than “consumer tastes have shifted toward cocktails and wine.” They have also shifted to micro brewery options. I especially like to head over to Summit Station in G-burg to pick up a growler of Irvington Pale Ale.

Comparing Raven games to Redskin games the one thing I hate is that they have a better selection of beers up in Baltimore. There is no selection of beers when you go to the Redskins game.
Go Skins!!!

Hey try Backfin Pale Ale out of Westminster's Clay Pipe Brewery if you can find it down where you live that's a real good beer.

I don't think anyone drinks Bud for its "taste." You just kinda drink it to get drunk.

I've never been eating a good meal and said to myself, "You no what I need is a good old refreshing Bud." My 2 cents

This from a woman who hates the taste of beer.

I'll get a case on the way home, and we can roll on through this evening. Sound good sweetie?

The way I'm feeling right now it sounds like a lovely plan. Hell make it two cases one for each of us.

First I have to do the PM test. If you answer a PM then you get to come. Otherwise you're out just like FFA. :-P

Well you didn't say anything about sharing what you're bringing. So............ and I did send you a PM it just said TEST and you way failed that test.

Drink alone but that's the first sign of a problem. lol

I guess the first step is admitting you have a problem.

I'm not sure Scott will be cooking anything this evening. You may have to suffer through my cooking instead.

Jackson's a lucky kid to have NikiH as his mom: "No, sweetie, do your chores first, and then you can have some beer."

;)

You got me, Niki, I haven't been up to date with PMs. Give me a few minutes, and then we can start planning the beer party. . .
