WR Laveranues Coles of the New York Jets appeared to injure his right toe or foot at the end of practice yesterday. The extent of the injury was unknown. Coles had a bad toe last year with the Washington Redskins and debate over treatment hastened his departure from that squad.

HAHAHAHAHA. Now who didnt see that coming. Should have had the surgery when the Redskins asked you to PUNK!!!!!!!!!!

LMFAO this was the one and only reason that I didn't get infuriated when we traded Coles for a lesser proven Moss. I had a feeling that his greatest asset IMO, his blazing speed, was going to be affected by his toe regardless of whether he would get surgery or not. Well now we can laugh at the Jets again
now who got the better deal?...even if moss isnt a #1 reciver at least he can play....and we all knew that coles couldent seperate from his cover guys lats year.....hail to the redskins

Coles @ 100%
= Coles being the better WR!
Moss @ 100%
Coles @ 85%
= Moss being the better WR
Moss @ 100%
Coles injury isn't going to heal until he gets surgery. He's not going to get it so clearly we have the better WR.

good riddance freckle face loser.
I get the Coles toe thing, but come on, the Bailey comment is just not true and makes you sound like you don't even watch football!

I hate to disagree but Champ did get burned on primetime tv numerous times last year. Chad Johnson had a field day with him and that cat from the Raiders. From what I understand he played solidly for them all year and he just happened to get beat when the entire nation was watching. The thing is, he didn't just get beat once and it wasnt by a tiny margin.
The fact that he was this highly coveted #1 shutdown corner that we lost out on and got a shaft of a deal for made it even worse.
Champ is as nice as they come at corner. But he also use to get FRIED as a Redskin. Champ use think then, and I hope he still doesnt think now he is the fastest man in the NFL.
On Coles...It is surgery...so I feel him on having "surgery". But he only has to look as far as Ramsey to see, that taking corrective measures is the only way.
HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!

One Bad Year that still earned him a trip to the Probowl!

I would like to offer a dissenting opinion of the majority of the board. I see no humor in Cole's injury. Sure, it might be a postive from the standpoint that it justifies Coach Gibb's decision to decide to trade him. But, he's a professional athlete who gave 100% on the field as a Redskin. To see him injure himself is neither funny nor sportsmanlike.
haha...i loved coles...but the fact that we had to take a huge cap hit to grant his wishes to leave pisses me off. I he had just left for more money and no cap ramifications i would feel bad for him. But right now, I think he did sort of deserved it. Glad it happened with them and not here with us

Randy Lange, of the Bergen Record, reports New York Jets WR Laveranues Coles (heel) practiced during both sessions Monday, Aug. 1, and is fine. Head coach Herman Edwards said that Coles previously just hit his heel and is all right.
LOL...you guys are hilarious....Sideline Santana will show you the way
Coles played with heart, brought it every week....but , man, I was not happy with the way he left the skins. I like the "toed you so" comment....clever!!!
