PITTSBURGH (AP) - Tight end Heath Miller, the Pittsburgh Steelers' first-round pick, has signed with the team.
Steelers owner Dan Rooney confirmed to The Associated Press Wednesday that the 6-foot-5, 256-pounder had agreed to a contract.
Miller, who played at Virginia, was the 30th player taken in last April's NFL draft. He had 41 catches last season, five for touchdowns, after 70 receptions as a sophomore.
Seventh-round pick Noah Herron, a running back from Northwestern, also agreed on a three-year deal. The rookie contract agreements leave the Steelers with just two of their eight draft picks unsigned - second-round pick Bryant McFadden and third-round pick Trai Essex.
The Steelers are scheduled to report to training camp at St. Vincent College on Monday.
