A Good "What if?"
I think we'd still have drafted Jason Campbell, whioch would of been nice so everyone would know how much Gibbs likes Campbell.
"I said when he retired that Joe Gibbs was the best coach I'd ever faced." - Bill Parcells
Trust me, Rodgers is going to be a bust! He was hyped up too much by ESPN it was almost embarrasing to see him sitting there waiting so long before he got picked. I'll bet you any amount of money, there were people in the Packers War Room saying they should go with another QB, like Campbell, but since Rodgers had been hyped up so much, he was available and they thought that he was the best. But, he really isn't. And to think, some wondered if he'd go first. He's lucky he even went in the first round. And, for that matter, so is Smith. Neither one of them are going to prove to be worth a high first round pick. I may be biased, but I truly believe that Campbell has the most potential of any QB taken in the first two rounds.
Sit back and watch the Redskins.

^ I Agree with you, the guy led his team to undefeated season, and I seriously remember watching him during ncaa season and htinking wow this guy is fast and he can make the deep throws, and also thinking man he will never be a redskin( man was I wrong), believe me guys he is the real deal, we didnt just draft a project qb this guy can be a freakin top 3 player in NFL IMO in a few years
" But you should've seen Joe (Gibbs) when they said he couldn't coach anymore...his chest puffed out and said..i dont care what it takes, were not leaving here without another ring." Coach Joe Bugel

ARodgers sucks. ESPN once reported that Rodgers was not sharp in his passes during mini camp. They said that the Packers' third string QB will probably become the backup for BFavre.
I'm glad we didn't get him. I don't really watch college football...so I haven't seen our guy play. Did see some highlights...but those are highlights... Hopefully he's the real deal so we can get rid of Brunell!

gibbs and company chose cambell because they studied his tendencies and they put a lot of faith into him. i couldnt see them investing in another guy just because he was "supposed" to be better, without at least catching a few of his workouts and sizing up his game in the system

You guys need to chill. Campbell may be better than Rodgers but saying Aaron Rodgers sucks is a boneheaded statement. This guy has a cannon for an arm and puts good accuracy on his throws. He's just as mobile as Mr.Campbell which might be hard to believe because he's white (Hey its the truth). The only reason I could see Rodgers not doing too good in the league is because he's a product of Jeff Tedford's system which makes good college QB's but busts in the NFL. (Kyle Boller, Joey Harrington, Akili Smith, etc.)

Right, but he's third string because of JGibbs' loyalty to number eight. I'm hoping the coaching staff sees more in Campbell than Brunell by the end of the preseason.

Don't know if you guys read that 2-page story about Campbell in the Post, but Campbell is a Gibbs Guy. He's from a tiny town in Alabama, and was raised by some great people.
My co-worker (Eagles Fan) keeps telling me he's a bust, the next Akili Smith... I don't think so. He had a different offensive coach every year, and granted, they went undefeated when Auburn started running like champions,
But that's exactly what Joe wants to do.
