Travel to FedEx for Dallas Game

Post by CheechSwan »

Fellow Hogs...I will be attending my first game at FedEx field this December to face the Cowboys. I will be traveling from Lancaster, PA. My friend and I are looking for information or basically a recommendation where to stay. Neither one of us knows the area well, we are looking to party Sat night, but still prefer to find a hotel semi close to the stadium. Is there a good area to find lodging and fun that will be reasonably close? Any help is much appreciated.

Welcome to the site.

As for your question, I guess (assumption made due to the lack of responses) there aren't many of us who have stayed in a hotel/motel around FedEx field. I did find this website, though; perhaps you can find something. Good luck!

Seems like the HoJo in Cheverly and the Comfort Inn in Landover Hills might be your best options - at least according to that website.

Of course, you can always punch the FedEx field address into http://www.hotels.com to find something.

I dont think you should stay too close to the stadium, the area is not that fun... sometimes not too safe for that matter either. It's worth the extra 10-15 bucks in cabfare to stay closer to the city. But a better idea is that if you wanna party... get a hotel near Georgetown or Adams Morgan. I can give you 50 bars or clubs you'll have a great time at around there... then from your hotel take the 15-20 min metro to the stadium... the metro is easy to get to and once your there you'll see the 1000 ppl going to the game... it's easy and convinient. Oh and everything will be in walking distance or a 2 dollar cab ride this way too...If you have any questions, let me know. -drinking

Sorry about that  ; I didn't realize you wanted to partay. I thought you were just looking for a cheap hotel next to FedEx. SG86 is right - Landover's a pretty crappy place.

my first Skin game was at FEDX against the Pukes on a Monday night....and I believe the last meaningful victory we had against those panty-wastes

hope your trip brings the same result
God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.
We'll miss you, Joe.
