PACMAN MISBEHAVES AT SYMPOSIUM

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

PACMAN MISBEHAVES AT SYMPOSIUM

PACMAN MISBEHAVES AT SYMPOSIUM

A league source tells us that, at the recently completed NFL rookie symposium, Titans first-round draft pick Pacman Jones was seen talking on his cell phone on multiple occasions during the various sessions he was attending.

Openly. Audibly. Brazenly.

Such conduct is supposed to be prohibited, and the attendees were told that fines would be meted out.

From all indications, however, Pacman hasn't gotten dinged for his transgression.

There also was talk at the symposium that Pacman has been living up in Tennessee, spending anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000 in a given night at Nashville clubs.

We've always been partial to the sixth overall pick from West Virginia, who excelled as a cover man and punt returner in two full seasons as a starter with the Mountaineers. But more and more people around the league think that the kid is going to crash and burn if he doesn't change his ways.

It'll be very interesting to see how Pacman's contract with the Titans will be structured, in light of the apparent potential for off-field problems. If they're smart, they'll protect themselves.

If they're still in denial, however, they won't.

Hehehe...that's funny. Can't hate on Pacman because a lot of us wanted him. That's just some stuff that happens before the season...(remember ST's appartment thing) He'll have a good rookie season!
"I was on the sideline and guys were talking about the score, and then it hit me -- we won by 21. I came in the locker room and I yelled it out, and immediately I just kind of broke down in tears. Because I miss Sean, you know."

I didn't want him on our team. Second, he is just another punk who has no respect for authority. I hope he is a failure in the NFL.

AKA Sean Taylor JR.

I mean, at least it took Sean Taylor 1 year to get arrested, it only took Pac Man 1 month.

Tennessee Titans top draft pick Adam ``Pacman'' Jones surrendered to police Wednesday on charges of assault and felony vandalism stemming from a fight at a nightclub.

Jones was released from custody after posting bond. He did not comment to reporters as he left the jail.

His agent, Michael Huyghue, said in a statement that Jones had been advised not to comment and the cornerback regretted any negative publicity for the Titans.

``Regrettably, there are certain individuals out there who are opportunists, who prey on professional athletes for financial gain, and unfortunately, this is one of those incidents,'' Huyghue said.

In a court appearance, nightclub owner Robert Gaddy said Jones grabbed his shirt, hit him and broke his necklace after Gaddy asked three of Jones' friends to leave the club. Gaddy told police he asked Jones' friends to leave because ``they were smoking drugs.''

In a lengthy statement, the Titans said Jones has not matured enough in his decision-making and behavior despite team and league efforts.

``We remain confident that Pacman Jones will become an important contributor to our team, but in order for that to happen, he is going to have to conduct himself responsibly in all aspects of his life on a consistent basis,'' the statement said.

In April, Georgia authorities investigated a report that Jones was involved in a fight in a nightclub near Atlanta in April, but no charges were filed against him in that case.

The 5-foot-10 Jones, who played for West Virginia, was taken sixth overall in the NFL draft in April. He was the first defensive player picked.

He hurt himself in the Titans' rookie orientation on April 29 and couldn't practice with the team until June 14.

But Tennessee took him for his 4.45-second speed in the 40-yard dash and 37 1/2-inch vertical jump as they try to replace veterans Samari Rolle and Andre Dyson.

The guy's got game, and an attitude.
