I listen to Hiphop/rap and some rock/alternative rock.
But I picked R&B because that's what I listen to most.

I guess if you pick just one of or two of these genres you are limited yourself. There are certain kinds of music that because of the conneciton in my mind I can never listen to without cringing but there are also similar catergories that I've managed to overcome the stigma in my mind to enjoy. Country is a good example. I can't just pick one.
Whenever I start to get blue, I just breathe!
My favortie line from the Simpsons:
Flanders: "Looks like someone is having a pre-rapture party!"
Homer: "No Flanders, it's a meeting of gay witches for abortion , you wouldn't be interested!"

Oh, Niki, what happened to jazz? Or to classical music?
Old, old story: I had the flu, and was knocked flat for about two weeks. I had my trusty KLH Model Twenty One bookshelf radio, and I had WNEW, the serious rock station in New York. The station that had played the Allmans when everyone else played top-40.
After about four hours on the first day, I was going bonkers because I was hearing the same songs over and over, and becuase most of the music had no variation.
I turned to a classical station (New York had three of them then...now 1 1/2), and found the music was more interesting because it varied. Things surprised me.
So I vote with RiC.

Normally, fans of rap aren't fans of country... But you never know about those Cowboy fans.
As for me, I like classic rock (Guns N Roses, Led...) because back then, they had real guitar solos.

Miramichi in the heart of New Brunswick, northern end of various chains of mountains in the Eastern USA and Canada.
Probably one of the best Salmon fly-fishing rivers in the world. Two kinds of great music exist there: Acadian and early loyalist settlers music.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Hip hop, jazz, house, a combination of all three previous choices, classic rock, blues, folk rock, modern rock, metal, aboriginal, and just about anything that rocks - Live!
Classical is not bad, but also not frequent.
Country - other than a few choice songs (that probably everyone and their mothers know), I would prefer to listen to Rush Limbaugh - or just kill myself.
Although, nothing beats a good banjo pickin'.
