It is about pride as a professional in victory -and- defeat in and off the ring. It is about appreciation of the few good opportunities that life offers. It is about the sports watchers (not real fans or professional media) who are in the bandwagon when winning and jump off from it in defeat. It is about sacrifice, suffering, and the drama that separates victory from defeat in sports and life. It is about the triumph of the human spirit against insurmountable odds not only in sports but mainly in life. It is about character and how it reflects on all aspects of an athlete's life.
I do not expect you to understand or appreciate the richness of this movie. I gave up on you a long time ago. It is your loss, not mine.
