I need to look up where I saw this (unfortunately, it may have been a TV announcer), but I heard a statistic that the team winning the OT coin toss wins 52% of the time. . .which, in my opinion, debunks the whole theory that the game hinges on a coin flip.
Now I've gotta prove that I didn't just make the statistic up. If you'll excuse me. . .
its ridiculous...if you cant earn those yards by moving the chains...why should you get an opportunity to make an extra point when kicking a field goal. It would reward an inept offense, and would prompt coaches to kick field goals more often.
Sure, because those 50 yard kicks are so friggin' easy. They'd never have to worry about giving the other team incredble field position if the kicker missed, since they never do.
I got your number. I steal your thunder. I got your mother's maiden name tattooed on my arm.
