I don't really know a lot about him but I thought I heard something about him being a versatile player and being able to play three positions..?...

He'd be even further down the depth chart behind Taylor, Clark, Bowmen,Lott and competing with Prioleau for the 5th spot

Hmm...

The Redskins like the versatility that the 7-year veteran brings to the table. McQuarters, a natural cornerback, also doubled as a safety in 2004.

He is also highly used as a kick and punt returner. In 2004, he was second in the league in punt returns including a 75-yard punt return for a touchdown against the Tennessee Titans.

"""""Antonio Brown is just OK?? Come on man just because he hasnt been on the team that long doesn;t mean anything. HE has potential, and remember we still have Ladell and Thrash returning, Thrash is a smart veteran who makes the right decision
___________"""

Some fans will not accept when a player on the team is not good, or that there is someone better than them. They get offended and start defending every redskins player. I believe if there is a way to make the redskins a better team, than we should do it. If that mean s cutting a current player, than so be it. Not to say that ab isnt good , but i believe that rw ( @ PR) is much better. You have to be able to put the team first.

You do know that Brown ended up going back to the patriots right?

http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercuryn ... 727868.htm

As for McQuarters playing safety... yes he can... but that has little to do with what you said hatsoff... you said that we 'needed' him more at DB than at PR and as was already stated... he's as far down the safety depth chart as he is the CB depth chart.

I'm not saying he wouldn't be a good pick-up BECAUSE of his versatility OR his ability to play special teams...please don't misunderstand... I'm just saying that I don't think he's actually 'needed' anywhere. To me, need means that we'll suffer without him.

I'd say we'd definitely like to have him though.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

The Lions??? I was sure he would go to Giants first or Minny second. But the Lions paid 1.6M!!!

I am delighted we had the discipline to stick to our minimum sslary offer. Salary discipline is good.

These are a different Washington Redskins organization than we used to know a few seasons back. This is great!

I didnt even want him, rather have our guys step it up then sign some free agent, theres a word for it I cant really remember, I think its continuity!!

This offseason has been terrible for reporters just making stuff up. Inside football was reporting that an agreement was reached with the Giants. Nice job.

$1.6 million? At that price, I'm glad we passed on him.

Last season before they dump their GM, coaches, and a lot more.

It is going to be very difficult to justify losing with all that talent loaded over there. Sort of, like us...
